Picked up a 'Papyrus' reed today, always wanted to try one of these and found them a tad expensive when I've found them before, but our local florist had a trolley full this morning so I bought one , a decent sized plant in a 2lt pot for £1.95 :)

He sure is Mowgley, he gets new stock in 2 times a week, amongst all the run of the mill stuff there's always something a little different :), he quickly reduces prices too if stuffs not selling.......but has also been known to put prices up if something is selling like hot cakes

Took my sister who lives in Wem, Shropshire out shopping today to Shrewsbury and on the way we visited The Country Garden Plant Centre where they have over 30,000 roses. They're not cheap but they are quality and the choice is, obviously, tremendous. Anyway, there was a bargain corner and I drifted over in that direction and found this:

Rose "Generous Gardener" for £2...........not bad, and it would have been impolite not to have bought it at that price.:snork:

Well Hubby was at work and I was bored, so a little trip to garden centre and bought, Scabious pink, Erysium 'winter Joy', Halimium, Lavender 'hidcote' and two elan stawberries.

Have tried to upload photo's but saying files too large.

All for £9.50 (everything was reduced apart from the Lavender) and I used some of the vouchers I was given for my birthday back in May.

It'll be, what, five years? before mine has bulked up enough to send you a bit. Pity its not as simple as just chopping a bit off and dipping it in some hormone rooting powder :(
