    If you've not been for a couple of years you'll be impressed with the Jubilee Walled Garden - another modest addition :heehee: to their garden

      Right then ... LAST CALL !!

      East Ruston Old Vicarage meet Sunday 11-August-2013 - !! THIS SUNDAY !!

      We will meet shortly before 2pm in the carpark. If you are delayed please call my mobile (I'll send you a PM) and I'll tell you where abouts we are so you can find us.

      Website for further details: East Ruston Old Vicarage
      (they sell a nice booklet including map [which I think is £3.50], but if you prefer here's a plan of the garden that you could print)

      We have:

      @Kristen
      @shiney x 2
      @JWK x 2
      @alana
      @roders x 2
      @Jazmine x 2

      If your name isn't on the list we won't be waiting for you before we set off :)

      If anyone has any spare plants they could bring perhaps list them here for others to put in a request?

      Shiney has asked for some of mine, anyone else want anything? I have:

      Echium russicum
      Echium wildpretii
      Eucalyptus glaucescens
      Eucalyptus nitens
      Sophora davidii

      I also have some plain white Brugs. They are tall (between 4' and 6') and I'm desperate for them to go to a good home :) let me know if you can fit them in your car please

      These folk expressed an interest ... just want to make sure you get a "reminder" in case you can come:

      @M (50:50 :( )
      @LindsayH
      @pamsdish (unable to come :( )
      @ARMANDII
      @Lea
      @mowgley (Nottingham train station being revamped :( )
      @Java&Me
      @Madahhlia
      @Trunky (spending time with a returning Mrs Trunky :) )
      @Loli (but will have to skive off work :( )

      Here's a copy of a route map CLICK HERE I posted earlier, including a couple of local nurseries and Will Giles garden in case you are overnighting and want to visit that on Saturday

      A) Amulree Exotics Nursery
      B) Urban Jungle Nursery
      C) Will Giles exotic garden *
      D) East Ruston Old Vicarage

      * Note that the parking for Will Giles is in the car park at the back of Alan Boswell Group, and the entrance to Will Giles's garden is directly from that car park (in effect a back entrance to Will's garden).

      Me and Mrs JWK are planning to visit Will Giles' garden on Saturday

      Right! Did I leave anything out? if not that's your lot :) and you at the back: STOP CALLING ME OCD :)

            Have a great time everyone - would love to have met up with you but my MD and myself have a business meeting in Coltishall next Wednesday and he is then taking me on to the Old Vicarage.

            Monday I have a day out with the WI on a mystery tour, hope we don't end up going to the Old Vicarage - that would be just my luck!

            Trouble is they are all mixed up in a seed tray, the seed came from RHS Wisley and not segregated, so I'm happy for you to take all the plants and you'll have to wait for the flowers to see which are yellow! (So far only whites have opened in the plants I've put into my garden).

              Yes please :) , if no other takers.

              Brill, ta. I had a little "tug" of one of the cuttings, which seems to have grown fairly, and it didn't "give" so I think its rooted. Not used mist before, but I reckon that's pretty good for an evergreen (will confer with Mrs S on Sunday) and now wondering if I should put on, or "harden off" (reduce misting frequency) ... or wait! I guess empty out one pot to see how well, or otherwise, they have rooted.

                @JWK worth bringing some Tomato fruits to compare? I'm not finding mine have as much flavour as I expected ... I'll bring some for you to try, your palate may be keener than mine :)

                  Good idea Kristen, I'll bring what I have, only about 50% of my varieties have ripened so far and I don't feel they are really into the swing of it yet.
