Back in May I planted up our containers for the patio and then they were seen by friends and family who asked me to do theirs and over the weeks friends of those people have seen them and said where do you get them etc and now they're flying out :snork:. Just delivered 9 planters to a house today for a wedding reception tomorrow :)

These are some of the planters that we've been doing :)

Thanks for the kind comments :) The pink cordylines are proving very popular when I can get them, they're called 'electric pink' and fairly new to the market apparently, its a clump forming variety rather than one that creates a trunk and is supposed to be very hardy despite its exotic look :)

Great pots, well arranged. They will look particularly good in the winter, giving some good colour in the garden and breathing some life into the gloomy days. Excellent.

Is there a possibility the Cordyline is in fact a Phormium?.. Ive seen Phormiums mislabelled as Cordylines so many times. I know Cordyline 'pink passion' forms a trunk, and I know there is one type of Cordyline that forms clumps instead of trunks.. but I just saw a few photos online of Cordyline electric pink, and for certainly a few of those pictures showed Phormiums.

edit: yours is definitely a Cordyline, but I think it will go on and develop a trunk.

That variegated one looks amazing, beautiful colour, although Ive heard these colours tend to fade with age. That said before the horrific winter of '10.. we had a Cordyline 'dazzler' which kept it's colours even at 6 feet tall.. Red Cordylines tend to lose their colouring much quicker.

Hope it keeps its colouring though!
