Did a job in Bath once, had to take apart a statue that had been on display & return it to storage in the cellars of the Bath houses.

Now the access to that, whilst outside the Baths themselves, is nearer the department store opposite, just a manhole cover.

We'd wrapped the parts in blankets for protection & using heavy lifting gear very carefully lowered the parts into the narrow hole.

Got quite a crowd watching us as to everyone else it seemed like we were lowering bedding into the BHS store, they thought we were mad

 

I go into those cellars on a regular basis Sigs.Love looking around the roman artifacts that's are not on display to the public very often.

 

Ahh, but we know something they don't
