Dose any one have any basic recipes that use wallnuts, My tree is loaded this year and being that i've got rid of a grey four leged thing with bushy tail i hope to have wallnuts this year
Mrs Scrungee makes exceedingly nice wallnut cookies using a recipe from this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Country-Harvest-A-Celebration-Autumn/dp/013183682X Would you like the recipe?
Thank you Fern4, I do have a very sweet tooth, but i'm not a cake person Thank you Scrungee, Being not into cakes, Cookies YES please I would love the recipe if not too much trouble One more thing, being four leg thing always got the wallnuts, when will they be ready??
Well done ridding your garden of that tree rat! The wallnuts round here are normally ripe in early October - I take it that you know about their finger staining qualities if too eager to open? But the seasons are funny again this year. I'll 'PM' a copy of the relevant page (to avoid copyright problems putting online) but can post a text version on here if anybody else is interested.
