Hi @roders I think they look fab , what are the foliage plants ?

 

Spruce, they are Millet........totally alien to hanging baskets.
It wasn't planned, it was just what I had left at the time.
I like to try different plants in baskets.......These were for my wife's office.....no pressure.........
They love them.

 

Cosmos have done really well growing on my sandy soil for the first time. A must for next year also.

Hoping he was having a senior moment and might forget but sadly I don't think he will. I think if he does I will certainly try and rehouse them somewhere. It'll be worth trying !

It is dahlia time...

 

Lophospermum has started very late this year, only just beginning to flower. Luckily once it starts it will keep going till frost.

I didn't see any sign of life from this yellow begonia last year, and haven't had much hope for it this year either. But suddenly, here it is


In my greenhouse there are always some self seeded plants, armaranthus being one of them. It usually grows no more than 5' tall, but this year I've got one with growth hormones disorder - it keeps on growing, now its stem is about as thick as my forearm, it has reached the top of the GH and it has only just started to develop flowers. What puzzles me is: since I feed my peppers and tomatoes growing in there with tomato feed, the environment is high on potash so it ought to start to flower more rather than growing big ??

I expect the flowers to be quite magnificent when they do appear.
