Maybe I'm a bit slow, I've only recently noticed some of this. We had some very cool features before that now seem to have gone.

    1. If you want to quote just part of someone's post, you used to just highlight that bit, and then a little 'quote me' button magically appeared. That's been gone a while. Just wondering if its coming back any time soon.

    2. You used to able to start writing a post, then decide you wanted to quote someone so you'd hit reply, and their post would be automatically quoted at the current insertion point. Just did that now and my reply was blitzed and replaced with just the quote, vBulletin style. If this feature is staying, then it leads onto ...

    3. It seems you can no longer quote more than one post in a single reply without making extensive use of CTRL+C, CTRL+V and Notepad.

Yes some things disappeared with the last update I think, shame as I liked that "highlight and quote" feature.

      ps
these underlined words in your post...(two green lines) "noticed" "writing" "quoted" "insertion point" "single" "notepad" is it only me seeing them or you as well (and- if not- do you see any other word underlined twice that takes you to pages that one couldn't care less about?).
Is this anything to do with the cloud idea?

On the plus side though - is "bookmark" new? I've only just started to use it to have handy ref. to posts/threads that are useful to me.

That sounds like some advertising plugin. I don't see that on here but I've seen it on other sites.

I don't see any underlined words in clueless1's post - it all looks normal to me. Sounds like you have some adware lurking on your PC Java&Me.

Thank God it is that! I feared it was a Google permanent feature...

Multiple quotes is working for me when quoting from different posts, but not when trying to quote anything a second time.

Hitting the reply link for me just takes me to a new page with just the edit box with the one quote in it. I.e. all other posts are gone, because as soon as I hit 'reply', I'm no longer on the page with the all the posts on it. Its like vBulletin circa 2005.

I've just got the above by clicking on 'Reply' for the last 3 posts. @clueless1 Do you mean that when you try to quote a post that contains quotes (as in MF's post above), that the quotes in that post disappear? I noticed that a while ago and it's a PITA having to manually re-insert them using copy & paste & BBC.

P.S. But I'm still getting the problem of having to click 'Post Reply' twice, despite it working OK for a while because the problem has now returned.

No @Scrungee, I think I must be seeing something totally different to what you and Marley are seeing. I hit the 'reply' link, and before, I'd still be on the page so I could then hit reply on other posts in the same thread and they'd all stack up in the reply box at the bottom of the page, and I could then edit as I wanted.

Now however, I hit reply on one post, and I'm no longer on the thread page, so I can't even see anyone else's posts to reply to. I'm on a brand new page (see the screenshot I put up). Its not that the quotes disappear, its that after hitting reply on one posts, there are instantly no other posts visible to hit reply on.

      Doh:doh:

Fixed it. At least the multiple replies issue. I'd installed a third party popup blocker extension that is a bit over keen on blocking 'suspicious' code. I've just whitelisted GardenersCorner and that's my reply problem fixed.
