I've never taken part in a seed parcel so gave an opinion based on the threads I'd read and the fact that I like surprises. :snork:

I'd only take "a bit" of seed from a packet as I have a smallish garden with a couple of raised beds and plenty of pots in various shapes and sizes. It would make no sense for me to take a whole packet of seed containing say 100+ seeds as I'd never use them all. Far better for me to take a few of those I fancy growing and to leave some for others further down the list. :blue thumb:

Exactly Fern to me that is the whole concept, I too have only room for a small selection of plants, at the moment I am trying to go completely over to perennials, with something in season year round, so if there is a perennial seed in there, I would take a "pinch" and give it a go , they do tend to be expensive as seeds, and more so as plants, but I get the greatest pleasure with a plant I have grown from seed, and the excitement of a seed I don`t have, and never thought of, and the opportunity to try it is a thrill

Unless I missed a new thread? I think time is up on this @pamsdish?

(There was a further announcement of the 15-Jul deadline in this thread)

So the refined list of people who responded by 15-Jul (as per this post) is:

        Ariadae
        Pamsdish
        Bilbo
        Chillimad
        Mum
        Hsuh
        Kristen
        OxfordNick
        Sumbody
        Fern4
        joolz
        JWK

I suggest that @pamsdish starts a new thread, re-posting the rules (from this post perhaps?) and anyone not already on the list can just add their name to that, new, thread.

From memory the only change (speak up if you remember others) to the rules was:
        • Parcel to contain return address to Pam
also folk were to consider using MyHermes (or similar) instead of Royal Mail because parcel tracking is included in carriage price

I will post a new topic today in General Gardening, as it is getting time to start getting organised. Just had a look and I am 2nd,:doh:so removed myself for the moment, I only have it back to check packing and add any seeds I have received, which I could just post to next on parcel list....:rolleyespink:

Hello everyone, I wasn't around for a little while and missed the deadline, is there any chance I can still be added? Also, I have lots of seeds, especially vegetables which I would like to contribute, Pam, did you want sent to you before the start of swap?

I would have asked in the new thread, but cant find it :(

When the new thread is up and running you will be able to just append your name to the list (although Pamsdish will most probably do that for you :) )
