2013 - Biggest tomato Competition

I am not in the competition, but my Angelina's Bulgarian Beauties, are still green but several of them are now 14.5 inches girth and very clean (no marks)
I have done nothing with them, just stuck them in the ground, but nipped out at four trusses approx. six to a truss
Of course the real proof will be in the taste, no good having a pound of tasteless water

My very first red tom is today the Maskotka, grown outside, the GH ones are not even translucent yet

Them seeds you give me zig cuore di bue... the toms are big! will measure tomo but still green and some trusses have partly snapped with the weight
I noticed a bit back monty was growing them but he only covered his gardeners delight in tonight episode x

 

Both, only the ones outside are doing nothing (two trusses each with ONE tomato on about six inches girth)
Where in the GH they have four trusses with six or seven tomatoes on at 14.5 inches girth

WOW, that's some yield Jack. It will be so interesting to see how they turn out. I've had a message on FBook from Angelina. Her's are not doing so well this year due to the extreme cold Spring.

@Jack McHammocklashing as far as I'm concerned/can make out, there's been no specific requirement for registration required for this GC competition (unlike onions) and you must enter that big tomato (even if it's bigger than any of mine). So please enter it!

P.S. Please save some seeds from it/them.

As far as I can make out there's never been any rules posted for this competition (apart from Vince ruling himself out).

 

I will supply pics and try for weight when it/they are ripe
I will not submit it for entry to the comp though, as I did not sort of enter into the spirit of things
I will get a pic in the morning and post it for you all though
