    Morning all,

Not too bad last night, it just seemed to be constant drizzle.

Sat here in my nightie, having done all my hoovering, washed up, made a batch of Samphire to lay down for Christmas.

Going to tuck in my porridge with banana cherries and stewed apple.

Got a big batch of pies to make today, peeled, sliced and cooked 12Lb of apples last night.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. :doggieshmooze:

      @Gnam:

@moyra, morning. Can I ask what anti-vius software you are using? As that could be the cause of your site problems.

AVG used it for years never had trouble before.

Edit and why only this site.

Crashed again. back to the notepad.

      notepad:

What I cannot understand is that Richard cured the problems like having to click on the post label more than once to get something to post. Now that situation is back again. Also he did cure my other problems but he or someone else has reverted the site back to the beginning again. If only we could go back to the status quo before that last update. Forget the slowness lets have a workable site. I wonder how many others have given up because of the problems on here. I have been a member since 2005 about six months after the site started and until now have never had any real problems so it seems a shame that I should start now. I have tried downloading Chrome still does it with that. I am now lost as to what to do. I am reluctant to change from AVG as it has kept my 'puter safe for years. Any advice would be appreciated.

        Good morning Loli and everyone,

Moyra sorry to hear about your computer problems and hope that someone on here can eventually help you get it sorted as I know how frustrating it can be when it keeps going wrong.

Loli, hope your fur baby is feeling better today and hope you have a goo day:smile:

Shiney,we have loads of pears ripening on both our trees and the confereance branches are nearly touching the ground as the branches are that heavy:snork: We are picking some plums but they are not as heavy a crop as we would have liked but we can't do much about late frosts/lack of bees etc:gaah:Our squashes are doing well for growth but all the flowers are dropping off so won't be getting any crops this year me thinks:hate-shocked:

Hope your tea with the queen went off ok Shiney and when do you get your knighthood?:love30::biggrin:

We managed to get a walk in yesterday afternoon despite spits of rain but have had some overnight so my garden is watered but the slugs and snails have come out in force:gaah:

We have been invited out to a delayed 60th birthday celebration due to the relative being in hospital the other week so just hope that he is well enough to enjoy it:sick0026:

Have a very goo day everyone and enjoy the day with family or friends:spinning:

        Aloha Everyone,

Loli, I thought it seemed a bit autumnal too this morning with some leaves on the ground. We have had 24 hours of solid rain so it must have done some good.

Shiney, so you went to tea with Phil and Liz. Hope you enjoyed yourselves.

Kandy, I can get away on here with using a notepad but it is not ideal. You sound laden with fruit, lots of freezing or do you bottle some?

Have a great day everyone and take care, where's our WOO hope he is ok.

        Aloha!:wub2:

        Aloha everyone,

Yesterday went well despite the weather. Train and underground journeys were smooth and on time. The rain kept off (only drizzled) when we had to walk out in the streets but peed down when we were inside. There was a monsoon whilst we were having tea in the palace garden but we were under cover :blue thumb:. We and our friends travelled to Brick Lane (Bangla Town) in the evening for some shopping and good food. :)

It's beginning to brighten up out there so I hope to cut some of the laurel later on.

Moyra, I'm sorry you're still having problems with the computer. I don't know a lot about them so can't help. I've not had any problems so haven't even got a suggestion.

Kandy, I don't need to get knighted as I got my title when I was born in the castle. :heehee:

        Have a great day

        Aloha!

I appreciate your reluctance to change from AVG, I haven't used it for years since switching to Avast (free).

It could be something to do with the scripting that this site uses that AVG has started to not like. If it was your browser at fault I would suggest that more sites would be effected.

Can I offer this suggestion, download AVG Remover ( http://www.avg.com/gb-en/utilities you will need to choose 32 or 64 bit ) (the only reliable way of removing it completely) also download Avast ( http://www.avast.com/en-gb/index but do not instal yet, save the instal files where you can find them).

DISCONNECT from the internet by removing the actual connector from your 'puter.

Run AVG remover, and reboot when it's finished. Run the instal for Avast. Whole process should take less than 10 minutes. Reconnect to the 'net, Avast will update almost immediately and see what happens.

Trust me, Avast has never let me down, also when IT thinks there is a problem with a website it will offer you choices as to go there or not, so as for this forum it would tell you why you should not go here, but you can tell it that you still want to.

If you find you cannot get on with Avast, just disconnect from the 'net and uninstal , re-instal AVG.

It's worth a try and Avast is still one of the best AV's available absolutely free.

          HTH

While we were having problems I uninstalled AVG and loaded Aavast, didn't make any difference except for the annoying american voice that kept coming up.

              Gone back to AVG now.

Hi Loli, yes it has been pretty bad south of the county. All our friends have had their garages flooded out and those that use them for storage of the freezers and washing machines of course have lost the equipment. Pretty bad. Still it has been drying out today. The gardens did need it but not at the speed and level it came at overnight and yesterday was solid for 24 hours here. I am hoping it will be dry tomorrow as I want to do my sheets and get them dry. Steve has gone fishing again for the next couple of nights too.

I am going to turn in in a little while so will wish you all goodnight, God bless.
