                haha I honestly have NO idea why I wrote that.. must be the state of my mind! I'm lamenting the summer as it dies! I meant 'Late Summer evening' :snork:

                    Sal, probably I will leave the sanguinea outside.. the only other potential is hack it back to the stem and overwinter it in the greenhouse. I've heard they're quite hardy and if hit by frost, will still make a comeback, but flowering in that situation is not as likely. That said I have two flowers forming on mine right now.

                    Don`t risk it , it`s a nice plant ........overall I`m almost sure that if it`s protect in the same way we do with bananas or other plants that could be a chance of outdoor overwintering ......it would be really interesting to find a way ......
                    yes it will survive year after years but will never produce flowers , not really worth

                    I left mine outdoors with absolutely no protection and it has come back. Just forming its first buds now. This year I will give it the minimum of protection though, just enough to ensure that it comes back earlier from this years growth and not the roots as it did this year.

                    The Tibouchina looks good from what can be seen of it!
