@Loli, Thanks for the concern but we've had no problem :blue thumb:. We were up in London yesterday and apart from about 20 minutes of monsoon weather it just rained on and off all night.

Today has been hot and sticky and the soil was wet but not soggy. I think I've overdone the laurel cutting today and my right elbow isn't working properly now. It should be OK by tomorrow. My muscles seem to be getting older quicker than the rest of me! :heehee:

We're off to the Chilli festival tomorrow and shall be meeting up with some friends. Then it's back to us for the rest of the day and Naga curry at the Indian in the evening. I'll think of you when I'm having it. :loll:

      Evening all,

Phew, just sat down, been baking apple pies, apple sponges, and more lemon curd.

Managed to buy a Lakeland apple peeler/slicer/corer, In a box, never been used for £2, that will make my life a bit easier, as I am finding it more difficult to cut things, I get terrible wrist ache and blistered fingers.

Got to the boot sale this morning at 7am, all went well whilst we were waiting for it to open, we got everything set up, then half an hour later the heavens opened. Well everyone got caught out, as were not supposed to have any rain until the afternoon. There's me no rain coat, I have my long cardigan and a baseball cap.

Well we braved it out, put up with the rain that came in intervals, a lot of other sellers gave up.

My OH was shivering so much, I had to put him in the car with the heater going full blast.

So we were glad to get home, eat our fish and chips and have a sleep.

I will be glad to see my bed tonight.

      Nighty night.:snooze:

      Good morning everyone

Moyra we had to give up with the free AVG virus protection we had a few years ago as we were having problems so Mr Kandy changed us to Avast and we have been fine ever since.I just hope you can get your problem sorted.

Had a good meal out yesterday although I skipped the first course and left some of the main course as it was a bit heavy but enjoyed the ice cream sundae afterwards.Because the place was heaving and so the meals were slow in getting to us at least with the gap I didn't feel too uncomfortable and just watched what I ate in the evening. Will do some intense exercise today {bean picking}to help burn some of the carbs off:snork:Popped into the garden centre on the way home and bought two red currant bushes and an Oregon Thornless blackberry which were all half price so we were pleased:biggrin:

It is cool this morning but at leats it is dry so we might go and do a bit of retail therapy this morning and then gardening/allotmenteering this afternoon:smile:

      Good morning everyone,

:ouch1: Shiney....Elbow problems are so painful aren't they...but at least you have a day off today:thumbsup: enjoy the Chilli festival.....and the curry:hapfeet::dbgrtmb:

Kandy,i've been tempted to get a couple of Blackberrys...i do have a couple of rogue ones growing in the garden but i tend to leave those for the birds.....i do like foraging in the 'wild' for them though it's a bit of a family tradition....and i've got the scars to prove it:doh:....take it easy on the lottie:dbgrtmb:

It's another day like yesterday, dull and overcast at the moment but turned out glorious by the afternoon ..so fingers crossed:dbgrtmb:...i'll be picking Plums today ready for my annual jam fest and picking beans too:blue thumb:

      Waves to all,
Have a lovely day and take care:SUNsmile:

        Aloha everyone,
Gdnam, I changed over to paid AVG the full works 3 years ago. As I say it has kept me virus free and registry straight etc ever since.
Shiney, sorry to hear you have over done your elbow working on the laurel time for a rest then. Enjoy your curry festival.
Loli, I too have a rogue blackberry which is up behind one of the sheds so I cannot get to it to pull it up but it trails over the shed so at least the birds can get to it.
the AVG was only renewed in May so it will have to run until next year then I will consider going over to AVAST but I see little point when it is only this site that is out of sync with my pc.
Housework all done here, sheets changed and washing on so just the washing to hang out on the line and then I am finished, when the lad's away moyra can play. I get all my housework done when he is off fishing.
        Have a good day everyone,
        Aloha!:wub2:

        Good morning everyone,

Hope you all had a good weekend and wasn't disturbed by too much bad weather as it was bad in some places according to the news reports and some places were under water:hate-shocked:

We have got the red currants and blackberry in the ground at the lottie, just have to hope that Mr Kandy doesn't spray weedkiller on it like the last one we bought thinking it was a wild one:gaah:We are enjoying more plums, carrots, beans and lettuce and we didn't have to water after the rain we had at the weekend:snork:

Not sure what the weather is supposed to be doing today so will just take it as it comes again:biggrin:

        Aloha everyone,

We had a good time at the Chilli Festival and there were thousands of people there. The place also has some nice gardens for us to look round. They also have about a third of an scre of walled kitchen garden and some of the veggies looked wonderful - and not a weed in sight!

All I'm going to do this morning is about a couple of hours of picking and then shall package up the beans before taking them to bridge this afternoon.

        Have a great day

        Aloha!

        Aloha everyone,

Well I have got into the habit now of doing a notepad entry on here.

Very tired this morning from all the work I did yesterday. I did the flat right through and then the garden too. So am well up to date.

Shiney, hope your elbow is better today. No sign of WOO lately hope he is ok?

Have a good day everyone, God bless.

        Good morning everyone,

Kandy, that's the sort of trick Mr Loli would do:doh:The garden is my department and he has stricked orders to stick to motor bikes...but yesterday he topped one of the ponds up....when i went to have a look a full basket if Water forgetmenots was missing:hate-shocked:.....Where have they gone i asked as politely as i could (through gritted teeth)...."They were all dead so i binned them"...they weren't dead at all and were buried under a mass of grass clippings....too late to rummage through it all.....there followed a 'discussion' about keeping his mits off

Moyra, you certainly cracked on yesterday:phew:....you deserve a relaxing day today:dbgrtmb:

Shiney ,sounds like you had a fabulous day:dancy:....i'm sure you enjoyed your curry:thumbsup:

Hope all is well with the Woo's,Jazzies,Lili's,Pennys et al....

Have a great day everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

        Afternoon all,

Yeah, Shiney, sounds like a very place to go.

Weather here in Berkshire is absolutely blooming gorgeous.

At the moment just on my third glass of wonder stuff, (going into Reading hospital tomorrow for my endoscopy) got to drink a glass of wonder stuff every 15 minutes, from 1pm until I have drank 2 litres. No food, and my tummy is grumbling already. Just black coffee, lemonade, stock cubes.

I think I shall try to take it easy this afternoon !:yikes:

Hope everyone enjoys the wonderful sunshine:spinning:

          Good morning everyone,

Lili,Good Luck with the hospital today and hope they sort ot your problems for once and for all:blue thumb:

Shiney hope your elbow feels a bit better now you are resting it.Mr Kandy has had the same problem in his left elbow{left handed}after giving the rose s a good prune in the Autumn last year and over doing it and even now has to be careful how much work he does with that hand as it effects his elbow.I told him he has Tendonitis and can either go and have injections for it or else it should clear up on it's own in around 18 months:snork:

Loli.Mr Kandy is always pulling up good stuff in the garden or ripping out plants I want to keep and it does my head in.:gaah:I would much rather leave it to me and spend his time in the garage at his work bench :hapydancsmil:

Moyra sorry you are still having problems with the computer and hope you can get it sorted eventually..

We have mist again this monring so it will no doubt be a good day so hopefully I will get plenty done:biggrin:

          Have a good day everyone:spinning:
