Nahhh, it still doesn't work for me "M". Why have a machine that only does half the job, it's like having an employee that only works for half a day on full wage! :heehee: I own a slow cooker, drop it all in and forget about it, the best investment I've made to date!

Thanks for all your comment guys. I love to read all your views on things - each to his own. I love the bread maker as the bread is always warmly received by the host and hostess and it guarantees me a place on the guest list! It went down well but there were so many other goodies for the paryt of 11, especially loved the peaches baked in red wine and brandy with fresh unpastuerised cream direct from the dairy that day. And we all saw the ISS go over at 11.01pm too,
        Jenny

Sorry @honeybunny , only just found this. My Panasonic breadmaker has an easy Ciabatta recipe that takes 4hrs 30 minutes to bake. I take the doughout at 3 hrs.30 minutes and transfer it to a rectangular tin which has been oiled first.
          Ingredients:
1tsp yeast ,500grams strong white bread flour, 1tsp sugar,3tbsp Olive Oil, 1 tsp salt and 300 ml water.
Place in breadmaker in that order and proceed with Italian setting for 3hrs.30 minutes. Place on tin and dent with knuckles, pour oil over bread, sprinkle with dried oregano, finely chopped onion and garlic, sun dried tomatoes and rock salt and leave to rise in a warm place for 40 minutes.
Have oven hot 200C and bake for 25 minutes or so, check that it doesn't burn. Eat when cool enough to handle ,
          Jenny

Proper way, it's bigger than I have been making as I thought Willow was coming back today.

Got white & wholemeal very strong flour, poppy seeds, suet, basil and a bit of salt in it :)
