I purchased a small cutting of A trilobata earlier this year. Since then it has romped away nicely and has just graced my with its first flowers ....

The flowers have a slight fecal odour but only really noticeable if you stick your nose up close. It doesn't seem to drift fortunately!

The particular form I'm growing us interesting as it does not climb. It can be grown in a hanging basket or the stems can be trained up and fixed to upright supports. The flower beating side shoots can then be left to hang down.

I'm assuming that it is tender?

It is, but only needs to be kept frost free. The smell from the flowers doesn't travel so I will overwinter it in front of the conservatory window in my kitchen.
