Fig choice

      Cut a deep cross in them and gently squeeze the fig to open them out. Drizzle them with Marsala and honey . Cover with tin foil and roast in the oven for 20 mins at 200*c. Serve with a dollop of Mascarpone cheese.

      This is my favourite way to serve figs as a dessert and always goes own well when we have people over. I think it was. Nigel Slater recipe.
