    Hi guys,

I've just brought myself three Mini Bug Cubes from www.bughotel.co.uk, here's the photo from the website below. Am wondering if anyone could suggest some plants that are good for bees and other pollinators that I could plant near to it to encourage them to use it?

    Thanks for your help,

Welcome to Gardeners Corner Paul. :) Just coming into bloom now, Sedum (Ice plant), bees and butterflies love them.

This year the amount of bees and butterflies here has been astonishing. They seem to love dahlias, gerberas, petunias, crocosmia, rudbeckia and helianthum especially. The downside to the butterflies is lots, and I mean hundreds and hundreds of caterpillars.

My marjoram/oregano (no idea which it is but they're pretty similar from a flower point of view) has been flowering all summer and seems to be very popular with the bees. Is probably best to put in plants to cover the seasons rather than just one variety though?

From late summer through to the first frosts, being perennial they'll die back for winter and re shoot in spring. The one above will be a burgundy colour in full bloom. :)
