Greetings from sunny Swanage ( part 2)

I have just been 'told' we are going to Studland Bay this afternoon.
No, not to the naturist part!!

 

This is where I've done some shopping in Swanage


And this is where Mrs Scrungee has done some clothes shopping in the past



We wont be back there until October.

That's a clothing store - are you thinking of the Rainbow Superstores in both Lyme Regis or Seaton? (I always check out both for bargains whilst down that way)

Jenny's having problems getting on line, but she just phoned me from the end of the pier, it has been repaired after a fashion

 

It looks gert lush there Jenny

 

Watched the pier repair pontoon, complete with crane and anchor poles, putting new piles in the pier that were broken in a March 2013 storm. They have had a lottery grant whivh helped, ( the 2 piles alone cost £4000 + £3000 and they've had to replace loads of decking using teak which is soooo heavy. I could hardly lift a small block of it. But they are doing repairs in 2 x half sections so you can still walk to the end. The sea has been so calm - like an oil slick it's and deliciously warm still,

oooh, and guess who me and Mr Jenny met and shared ice cream with in Weymouth yesterday:


and the road bridge opened to let some vessels through

then, it's our turn next in the rowing boat to get us back to the other side of the quay

then we all went for a scrumptious cream tea and a cuppa.
Thanks for showing us Weymouth Ziggy, another lovely town with so much to offer;
park and ride into town was only £1.50 for the day.

Thank you FC. It's absolutely amazing when the weather's on your side isn't it? And when it's good, I think that our country is still the most lovely place to be, and there's still so many parts that we have yet to visit,
