Yay! I'm learning  This gardening knowledge really does creep up on you, you know :coffee:

You've captured a couple of really good shots there: they look like jewels.

Thanks, "M", but to be honest they were hand held shots taken in natural light so any one could take them. It's amazing what a pic will show once you have time to look at it properly. The Berries did catch my eye though because they look so red and textured.:hapydancsmil:

Ah, ok ... I'll rise to that challenge ... I'll get my camera out tomorrow and see if I can capture the glamour of my own honeysuckle berries before the birds gorge on them :snork:

I don't think anyone would have guessed their identity, "M" but they are from the Flowering Ribes.

Go for it, "M"..........I'm betting you'll get some great shots!!:snork:

            Really? :wow:

I have one which GC ID'd for me earlier this year, but the berries on that were an orange colour and nothing as glam as yours. Plus, they "berried" earlier in the year too (or maybe I just haven't looked at it recently  )

*grabs torch and off to check ..... if I'm not back by Monday ... I've been eaten by moths*

Ok, you've got a posh one: I only have two miniscule orangey coloured berries on mine (common as muck me :heehee: )

Love the speckles - just been to look and can't even find one berry on mine.

I had five spikes on it until the slugs took two of them.

Worth waiting for longk, unusual colouring - shame about the slugs!

I thought so, especially as it has bulked up so well. Practically impossible to guard this against slugs though...................

To be honest, I'm not sure that birds will eat them:scratch: Having said that Nature has designed the Berries to be eaten so I guess it's just that I haven't actually seen any birds eating them as I have with Pyracantha.:dunno::snork:

Nice colour Longk , there's a fabulous one on our allotments flowering now, yellow flowers I'm going to beg some seeds , thats if they come true? I've grown them before but a mixed packet from a mag did get one really nice greeny yellow the others were all orange and yellow but they all flower earlier in the year.
