        All bamboo canes 50p/bundle.

All Muntons Premium Cellar 60 bottle wine kits (5 litres of grape concentrate with no need to add sugar like in the smaller can in cheapo kits) are 75% off and reduced to only £9.25 each, so that's only 33p per bottle (including steriliser). I cleared the shelf.

The Muntons kits I mentioned in post #154 (that don't need any additional sugar as they have 5L of grape concentrate - in a useful plastic container for getting cheap paraffin in) are now supposed to be reduced to only £5 each if you can find them. (I organised today's shopping trip to take us past another 2 Wilkos, but both had been cleaned out)

Found a stack of strawberry bags reduced to only 10p each. I might use them for some early polytunnel strawberries and drag them outside later rather than tie up beds or have multiple pots to water.

P.S. Found somebody trying to sell them on ebay with a starting price of 99p + £3.50 postage (where I snaffled the pic from to save getting my camera out). If I'd managed to get loads more of them at 10p I would given them away free to anybody who'd bought enough of my car boot strawberry plants to fill one. (you have to get rid of strawberry runners somehow, or you end up with millions of plants in several years)

P.P.S I also saw their wooden handled s.s. forks & spades had been reduced to £10 each (but still £16 online?), but I'm not tempted as I got my Dobbies ones from Tesco Direct when they were only £3.75 each, less cashback and plus clubcard points.

In my local Wilkos only the packs of small split green canes are 10p, bundles of 5x 6 foot canes are 15p and bundles of 5x 8 foot canes are 25p. The quality of their canes is appalling, but by searching through about 60 bundles I found 20 serviceable ones.

Garden string has been reduced. The large 250m balls have been reduced from £2.50 to £1.50 with similar reductions on smaller sizes.

All Cookes seeds are now 50% off (previously buy 2 get 1 free). All the Wilkos seeds were in a big box awaiting reduction.

                Halloween is coming!

As I've cleared out all the decent 8 foot 'bean canes' a while ago, I turned my attention to 6 foot canes and spent 20 mins selecting anything worth buying - only about 12 bundles of 5x canes @ 15p each - just the right height for ploytunnel growing.

Last went in our local store last week and some seed was 50% off then but it was all thrown in a plastic bucket and a nightmare to look through especially when you get the usual 'hogger' who wants them all to themselves, you know the type who keeps blocking your view when you try to have a look, can't be doing with rude people :nonofinger: so I didn't bother. I'll be popping back in today for a browse :)

They did that in my local store last week

This week they put them back on the display racking! I was rather hoping they were going down to 10p/packet.

Been in our store today and there was only about 6 packets of seeds left in the sale bucket, not a lot else in the shop but on the trolleys outside there were some good bargains to be had amongst the plants :), there were dozens of small Gaultheria procumbens plants that were £2 each but amongst them some had been reduced to 10p!!!! because they were a touch dry (that's all that was wrong with them that I could see, plenty of healthy growth), I bought all 7 that I found with reduced stickers on for 70p!! :dancy::)

Popped into our local store today to get some perlite but they had none on the shelves, so I asked and the guy said it was all gone, so i said thanks anyway and as I was walking away he said I'll tell you a little secret, "the gardening items are going to be available all year round soon", apparently it goes "live" in a couple of weeks so the perlite may well be back in.

This sounds great but will it mean the end of the famous Wilko clearance sales on the garden items if they're going to stock it all year round? :)

Oh and they had stocked up with bundles of canes again at the sale prices of between 10p and 25p depending on length :)
