I have been totally engrossed in watching this series this week. It is so informative and satisfying to see the various Harvests this Autumn.
Last program tomorrow night on BBC 2 at 9pm .If you get a chance to watch, or catch up on iplayer, I recommend it to you,

It's an incredible piece of kit isn't it Clue. A private plane might come out less expensive.

Very interesting, but being a typical farmer he pleaded a poor return on both his harvest of Wheat and Rape after working his fields to the max:cry3:.........and still managed a smile when thinking about his bank balance:hapfeet::yes::snork:. I shall watch the next one for sure.

I am still mindful of the suicide rate for farmers though Armandii - it's pretty high,

It's a good programe but it didn't show all what go's on, the grain testers have a hard life and you have to be a strong and thick skined person to do that job

I have seen two of the Harvest 2013 programmes both incredible . What a difficult job farming is ! The veggie farmer in Lincolnshire and the Essex grain farmer , both extremely professional farmers. Have I missed any of these programmes ?
PS I really want a go at that combine harvester :hapydancsmil:

I have them recorded, I will probably watch them over the weekend, as nothing on tv over the weekend is worth watching.

I haven't seen the programmes but can verify that harvest time is very hard work, long hours when the weather permits. As a teenager I used to work on my mates farm, driving a tractor and trailer, harrow, sciffle, roller and generally making a nuisance of myself. :lunapic 130165696578242 5:
