    Shiney,really pleased you managed to dodge the weather on your drive home....it gets a bit hairy when the wind is blowing and the rain is lashing down when your driving....glad you made it safely:dbgrtmb:
    I'm hoping the wind blows its self out by tomorrow as we are taking the caravan up to North Yorkshire for a few days to help a friend out emptying her mums cottage...it's no fun pulling a van in gusty winds.....while i'm up there inbetween duties i'm going to make sure i sneak off...weather permitting for a wander...i love it up there:thumbsup:

    I hope everyone is keeping on an even keel and this wind isn't giving you any problems:dbgrtmb:

    No work today :sad:

    The other half has this week off, so no doubt she will find things to keep me occupied on the days I don't work !

      Loli, be careful when driving. There were a number of roads closed to high sided vehicles on our way home yesterday.

        Steve, I am sure your OH will find you plenty to do while she is having some time off.

        My little misfit lodger Bertie is certainly testing my love of dogs. He must have had a rough time before my sister Kath took him in. He decided last night he wanted to sleep on Steve's bed and when I went to retrieve him to bring him to mine he let me know in no uncertain terms he was where he wanted to stay. I do not argue with a snarling nasty little dog no matter how small. I did think then you wait until you want chicken in the morning! However when Steve got up and went fishing at 6 am the little blighter decided it was time to share my bed, so I forgave him. Lol.

        Its cool and raining here, but we did need it, so i don't mind.

        We had a busy weekend, as usual but got alot done though.

        It's another sunny morning :SUNsmile:

        Moyra, yes, we were in the Lake district for the week. We met up with Steve R and his Mrs and a lot of our friends from up there. We also visited the old, but very fit, lady who has recently moved from her farm into town. She used to do fantastic home made cakes and tea for walkers that passed through her valley.

        We've been stopping at her farm for that for many years. I always used to phone her in advance to let her know I was bringing a group through so that she could get cakes baked. The chickens that provided the eggs for the cakes used to play around our legs whilst we sat out there :biggrin:.

        Her son, who took over the farm, has turned her cottage into a holiday let and moved her into town. She's now settled in very well and was delighted to see us.

          I've still a few bits and bobs to do....fill the bird feeders and give my chooks the once over and water the GH....Oh and get dressed ofcourse:doh::heehee:.....

          We had frost overnight....so i need to go out soon and see what I've lost, ah well what can you do.

          I'm in town today, but have some errands to do and Natalie has a Dr's appointment, her due date is a week tomorrow, then I'll be a grama!!!

          Off to put the sheets into the dryer, and get more coffee.....so enjoy your day everyone.

          I certainly feel at home as no sooner did we arrive i was greeted by half a dozen chooks:dancy::chicken:
          The dogs as you would expect are more interested in the pheasants:nonofinger:....
