          I quite like this time of year when the pressure from intensive GYO decreases and there's more time to harvest from the hedgerows, make preserves and get away for some cheap hols.

              I don't think Autumn has found us here, quite yet. My annuals are still going strong (Cosmos, Clary, Zinnias ), My Japanese Cherry Tree still has lovely green leaves, the Acer is still a rich burgandy colour, I also have Calendula and Cosmos just coming into flower, Begonias still flowering their socks off (although rather rocked by the wind, lots of buds still to open). Dahlias continue to produce new buds......

              Autumn Pansies and Violas looking great too.

              Perhaps Mother Nature has forgotten where Northampton is :sofa:

              I must add though, when everyone else probably started planting out in May, mine was mid June, perhaps that's why I am getting a bit longer. :noidea:

                              The Virginia Creeper in full crimson now........ not so bad for £4.95 :yes: We absolutely love it , and when the Autumn gales take the leaves - they all end up next door - what a smart plant :biggrin:
