This is my last effort, from an Amish paste mega-bloom - only 326 grammes so I'm way behind:

Polytunnel, very expensive and inefficient but worthwhile if it gets them through a few chilly nights into another mild spell.

        This one's still growing slowly

But this has been the same girth for 3 days

Angelo is looking right fed up out there in the rain and I think he may well have to come in tomorrow and be weighed and entered in the competition,
he's no great contender though, I know that but I have enjoyed this experience very much,

@Jenny namaste Has it grown since then? Even if it hasn't and it's still that girth and if it's a rounded shape (like the 2nd one in my post #230 above) I suspect you might have a moment of fame and take 1st place on the leader board. The smaller toms on that plant will still have the same genetics if used for seed saving.

I'm sorry Scrungee, having got extremely wet this afternoon at Great Dixter ,Northiam, (numpty took no coat or brolly...) I'm declining the suggestion right now. I suspect his growing days are virtually over but he's still a bonny lad - round, and looks very healthy.
Think I might need a small band saw to persuade him to leave his momma in the morning,
                Jenny

I'm still 13g off Freddy's leader, 471g on the latest Big Zac but my monster is yet to come and I have a few others that just might tip the scales around the 500g mark!

Carol is moaning that my tomatoes (she doesn't like tomatoes) are hogging all the fridge space and I'm adding to it everyday now, I suppose it's time to start processing them, I've got all the herbs, garlic, onion and just ripened chillies ready, I just need a morning/day/week free to do it.
