How about a Cozy Coat? (similar products sold under the name 'Wall of Water')

Interesting bit about the red tint - I've never heard about that before.

Thats an interesting idea - wish I had thought of it. Theres quite a lot of info on how different coloured light effects plants on the internet, although it does tend to be on the sites dedicated to growing naughty things so just be aware that people may be tracking your browsing habits. I have noticed that my homemade grow light which uses mostly blue LEDs seems to make the seedlings produce big leaves, so I do think that theres something in it.

Jenny, I'm so proud of Angelo's Bulgarian background!
And you've obviously taken good care of him!
                Great!

Well done, I suspected it would take first place (my tomato girth to weight converter spread sheet estimated it at 575g).

                    Angelina,

he knew it was his duty to you and your fellow countrymen to be the best. He's withstood all sorts of inclement weather since May but has never buckled; a fine representative of Bulgaria,

I've got several more Beefmasters beginning to ripen, one of them looks as if it might just beat my previous best effort. It's still green, but I think it's finished growing now so hopefully a few more sunny warm days this weekend should see it starting to change colour.

I don't think it will come close to beating Jenny's magnificent specimen though.
