    Hi,
I live in a village in Nottinghamshire, surrounded by Sherwood Forest :)
I am currently studying full time, I have just finished a degree in Horticulture and am now studying Environmental design and management.
In the past i sold plants online and at market and I do the odd garden design. I was lucky enough to be involved in the production of a Chelsea garden this year which was a fantastic experience.
I garden on quite a sandy soil, i have a north facing back garden (60x40'ish) and a small front garden to the south. I hate my garden! It was 6' high and full of overgrown hedges, nettles and brambles when I moved in and all I have done is chop it back bit by bit to transplant my plants from my old house into. I do have my greenhouse up and running though and one day ill clear the lot and create a beautiful space full of scented plants and little hideaways! One day!!
My passions are scented plants and herbs and I'd love to have a cutting garden. I'm also quite geeky and love plant science and obsessing over the weather!
Hope that's covered everything, I can't remember what it said to put!
Looking forward to chatting to you all and learning from each other! Xxx

Hello and welcome BFG! It sounds as if we could be kindred spirits! I love scent and wildlife in the garden too! Earlier this evening, even though my weekend tummy-bug had me fainting in-and-out, I still persevered to fill all the bird-feeders. The sight of a nuthatch feeding was all I needed in motivation...

I look forward to getting to know you, and your garden! :-)

                              Wow!
                              Hi guys!
Zigs-I haven't managed to make new friends on here yet, hoping to get time this weekend to get around the site. Will keep an eye out for Luke :)
Ellen-I'm in Edwinstowe, have you moved out of the area totally?
Jenny-I know how you feel, I have chronic ill health and it's the little things like that that pull me out there. Always makes me feel a little better even if it's only for a short while, nourishes the soul and all that!
Sorry for the long post, will figure out how to quote and like comments asap! Might have a bit of a posting spree this eve!
Happy gardening to all, its a perfect day for it
