I've been going around garden to look at spiders, there are lots of them but mainly 2 groups: Garden spiders and Lesser Garden spiders. They are separate species .

While doing that I came across some green shield bugs in their beautiful winter coat. Didn't know that they change colour until I checked on ispot

We were getting a bit worried about Mr Pheasant as he's usually only on holiday for six weeks and had been away for nearly eight! He came back yesterday :dancy: and his new tail feathers are almost fully grown. None of his wives have shown their faces yet.

Whilst I was out mowing this morning there were some caterpillars wandering, quite quickly, across the grass. They were a good 3" long, about three eighths if an inch wide, very bright green with V shapes (still green) all down the body with the points towards the head. They weren't hairy looking and appeared quite smooth. Any ideas?
