After proper and several investigations and research at Western Union and MoneyGram Office, we found your name in Western Union database amongst those that have sent money through
Western Union to Nigeria and this proves that you have truly been swindled by those unscrupulous persons by sending money to them through Western Union/MoneyGram in the course of getting one fund or the other that is not real, right now we are working hand in hand with Western Union to track every fraudsters down, do not respond to their e-mails, letters and phone calls any longer as they are scammers and you should be very careful to avoid being a victim to fraudsters any longer because they have nothing to offer you but to rip-off what you have worked earnestly hard to earn.

In this regard a meeting was held between the Board of Directors of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and as a consequence of our investigations it was agreed that the sum of sixty thousand US Dollars (US$500,000.00) should be transferred to you out of the funds that Federal Government of Nigeria has set aside as a compensation to everyone who have by one way or the other sent money to fraudsters in Nigeria.

I am Aisha Gaddafi (Al-Qahsi), the Daughter of late Col. Muammar Gaddafi former Libya Leader who died on October 20, 2011. I have the believe and understanding that my late Father’s death was masterminded by international community’s base on the role my late Father has shown to the western world over his leadership in our country Libya . They have taken all that I suffered and saved for since his death including some of my treasure, houses and bank accounts closed by the new Government.

I want to escape to One of the Caribbean countries to fight for the cause of my Father’s death through one of the world known lawyer , but again they conspired and Seized my international passport and other traveling documents to further frustrate me. Two weeks ago, I received Key Text Code (KTC) from one SECURITIES COMPANY, that my deposited U.S $65.7 Million (Sixty Five Million seven Hundred Thousand United State Dollars)


It has therefore, become very necessary and urgent to contact some one, a foreigner like you to help me receive/secure these funds overseas and to help invest it on my behalf as well, while I find a way of getting out to meet with you in your country.

These funds are kept on a CODE with the Securities Company to avoid detection, seizure or diversion. I have had several telephone discussions with the Assistant Director of the Securities Company, Mr. Wilfred Brient who has express willingness to help me on meeting the company’s demand. This is why I have contacted you to help save my situation, receive these funds on my behalf. But you will need to give me sufficient assurance that if you help me, you will not divert or abscond with the funds. I have resolved to give you 20% of the total sum. This is all I have got to live on. Please, I have reposed my confidence in you and hope you will not disappoint me.

Ahhh 419 scams :D If you bait the scammer properly, you can turn the scammer into a barrel of laughs :D

Just checked an email address that I only use for having money off vouchers sent to, and saw an email had been sent 2 days ago by PayPal alerting me to an attempt to change the primary email address for my PayPal account.

Very strange that, especially as I got an email from PayPal only this morning to the correct primary email address. Another spoof email promptly deleted and then googled:

you know that by hovering over the address where the mail is sent from, it should give you the same address - if it is something else not a good sign...

 

Keep a close check on your paypal accounts guys.. three folk on another forum I use have had theirs hacked into.

Got an email from BT informing me of their 2gb free cloud storage for BT Broadband customers with a button to click on to get it, but the odd thing was that it was sent to a non-BT/Yahoo email address (that they don't know of) and not to any of by BT/Yahoo addresses.

So I deleted it.

 

Got an email about a payment I've made to British Gas



But I don't have an account with British Gas.

I don't even have gas!
