We have these in the yard most every morning. They don't bother anyone and they even eat fallen leaves. They seem to know that hunting is not an option in our area, so they go about their business. This little one was with his mom and a few aunts.

I had one chase me into the back of my truck several years ago. Scared the heck out of me. She stood on her hind legs with her front paws on the glass looking in at me. You can't believe how silently they walk in the woods. They don't make a sound and are on you before you know they are there.

I know it was a female because she had two small cubs waddling along behind her. Perhaps she found me attractive. :dunno:

I reported the bear to the EnCon officer, who was a young girl much less than five feet tall. She grabbed a can of pepper spray and said: "I'll teach her a lesson" and headed after mama bear. I left to let the girls settle it between them. :nonofinger:

Well, the EnCon guys sent the moose on a long vacation to the Adirondack Mountains where he will have a better chance of finding a mate. I guess you might say it was like it says in the song: He was looking for love in all the wrong places. :loll:
