2014 SEED SWAP

Well ... if you are up for that then another thought

On another forum's Seed Parvel people have been encouraged to do a "Directions" in Google Maps and then enter the number of Miles that the parcel will travel to the next person. I have no idea what the point of it is ... but I'm probably just being a "Fun Sponge" as my daughter would say ...

 

I have seen that as well, we could encourage a mileage chart, so when I post to first on the list it will be travelling nearly 200 miles, not far from where I am driving to in an hour or so, strangely.
All this is dependent on people posting, it`s arrived, I`m posting today, etc. So we are all in the loop where the parcel is.

 

Could you be bothered to maintain the "current" list in the first post of a thread?

In previous years finding the most recently edited list to then adapt from has not been straightforward, after lots of follow-on / updating messages, particularly when people have had a hissy fit and expect to be removed from the list rather than editing it themselves.

The other forum does that - PM to the list-keeper, or a message in the thread, to get yourself added, and then it is updated with who currently has it, and how far it has travelled.

I would be happy to be the list-keeper if anyone thinks the idea is worth trying.

Update.....working away on my seeds, up to 35 packets, mostly pepper, tomatoes and beans.

Hoping to add some Toothache seeds to the bunch, the seeds are still drying!

 

All packaged up and ready to take to the post office later today.

There are 50 packets it there, peppers, beans and tomatoes.

 

Fabulous Penny as soon as they arrive I will start it off, you must let us know what you require, you put so much in for no reward.

Seeds were sent over the weekend, my grandson was born on Friday and its been a hectic weekend...but they are gone.
