It's come on a bit since then Allan, thing that I liked was the amount of native plants that have colonised the old quarry.

Have only been there the one time. Must put it on next years trip schedule, although it's a long drive for a day trip, may have to make it a weekend. :dbgrtmb:

I went along 2 weeks ago! I've been going almost every year since they started building it. Every year they add something new which keeps things interesting. This year it was butterflies, the aerial walkway and observation platform right at the top of the biome.

First, we where treated to a cookery demo by the lovely John Whaite (last years Great British Bake Off Winner)

Then a walk around the Biomes..

Only problem I've found this year is that the rainforest biome has started to be overcome with pests. The whole place is now overrun with tiny ants and a lot if plants are showing signs of pest damage. As they are an Eco friendly organisation, they have probably got quite a battle on their hands.

At the end of the day we booked an evening table for a meal in the Mediterranean biome restaurant. I expected it to be packed but there was only a few others in there. It was like having the Eden Project all to ourselves and was quite weird being there in the dark, but did feel just like we could have been outdoors in some remote Greek Taverna. I definitely recommend it!
