Anyone else watching the X Factor? I am finding the endless crying by contestants very wearing to say the least!!:frown: There is a very good saying that I wholeheartedly agree with:
"If you don't like the heat, then get out of the kitchen"!!!!!:old:

It's the boys turn tonite.....they're worse than the girls for crying! I think it's an attempt to get sympathy from the judges and the audience.

Makes good TV, whether you love it or loathe it. ITV probably hold onions under their noses if they're too stiff-upper-lipped.

That's exactly what it is (well, not good TV in my opinion, but it works for the masses obviously). It is supposed to be live, but it is so planned its unbelievable. Like when they let someone onto the stage that is so bad that they are funny. Are we expected to believe that contestants are not screened at all before they get in front of the cameras and the judges? Or when the camera just happens to capture some random person in the audience doing a massively exaggerated emotional face at exactly the right moment. Are we supposed to believe that the cameraman managed to spot that one person out of the entire crowd, and get the camera right on them, zoomed in and fully focused, without even a nanosecond's delay?

never watch anything like this, full of talentless tripe. OK some of them might be able to hold a note or three, but Talented, they are not. :sofa:

I watch it while believing that the whole thing is fixed. Producers pick the contestants with the judges having little to do with the selections. Theres plenty of acting from the judges and the fact they are acting is obvious!! I think the producers have already decided who they want to win the show and will attempt to manipulate the viewing public through song choice and extensive and favourable coverage for the chosen one! Tidbits fed to the press either positive or negative come into play also.

I think the woman who is a prison officer is the one to watch!! She isn't exactly a 'looker' but she sure can sing!!!!!!

In order for these types of show to be successful they have to be scripted and rehearsed, same as all those panel shows.

A girl who works for me auditioned for the X factor 2 years back, it's not what you see on the telly. She sang before show organisers/ runners/whatever first and it's them who put them through ( or not ) into the auditions you see on the telly. She has a fantastic voice and could go extremely far but was dissalusioned as she thought it was straight to the celeb panel and it wasn't. She was livid to say the least! image.jpg

                      Pretty as a picture too!
