    Aloha everyone,

Steve, the garden is looking good :blue thumb:. The plant you have nearest the compost bin looks as though it's a forget-me-not. A nice plant but spreads like mad so you'll have to keep an eye on it.

We've got an actress friend coming to stay with us for two weeks whilst she's in rep in a town near here. So we've got to get things ready. :phew:

I'm of to a bridge tournament today. I don't expect we'll do all that well as one of my team lost her husband a few months ago. She wants to play so is playing with someone who has never partnered her before. Playing bridge is helping her cope as she and her husband used to play a lot.

    Have a great day

    Aloha!

Thank you, I'm getting there, but as we all know it takes a long time to establish a garden and the job never gets completely finished.

If you mean the plants by the bricks, it is actually 2 self seeded Ox-Eye Daises, they turn up all over the garden, I grew some from seed about 4 years ago, and they just keep coming ! Easy to spot and remove or re-home though. These will be left for another week or two, then I'll move them to a more appropriate place.

Also the compost bin is on the move this autumn, I have a small triangular area on the other side of the shed that just needs clearing of a soil mound, and it will sit very nicely in there.

I am sure your team mate will do ok even with a new partner, I don't play Bridge, but I can understand the need for players to 'know' each others game. Best of luck for the tournament.

      Morning everyone,

WOO, Lovely photo of the sky. Thank you, hope you and yours are doing ok.

Steve, lovely pictures of your garden it is coming along a treat, you have done well.

Loli I too had a go in the garden, had Steve trimming back the high growth on the borders and I cleared it up off the lawn and into the bin. DEi you bake something nice yesterday then?

Shiney, sorry about the lady's and your loss from the team of a good player. I can understand her wanting to continue to play just hope the new partner she has will soon get used to her style of play and they with each other. Who knows in time etc.
Steve has gone back to fishing but he says it has turned cold and the wind is not helping the fish to bite.

Have a good day all, take care and stay safe. God bless.

I meant the plant that has the green leaves with some turning reddish :)

          Aloha everyone,

We had an enjoyable tournament but only ended up in the middle. They aren't going to be regular partners (don't live anywhere near each other) but they are friends.

Very busy today. I've already spent almost 10 hours on the computer getting papers ready for meetings. I have an AGM that I'm chairing this evening and I'm running a training course on Thursday, whilst organising an outing to London in less than two weeks. :phew:

Just off to do some gardening.

          Have a great day

          Aloha!

Oh that one sorry, that is Rumex Sanguineus (Red Veined Dock), that along with the Potentilla and Chrysanth were pressies from my Ma-in-law.

She is terrible for it, she hears you mention something is nice or on your wish list and it's there the next time she pops in. Thinking I might like a Jaguar XK-R, or maybe the XK-F :snork:

Glad the tournament went reasonably well for you, and your friend.

              Hello one and all,

Just clocking in, albeit, a bit late.

Had a busy morning, visited my lady, had to ring her nurse,as I found out that her medication was all wrong, she had been taking tablets which as far as I could ascertain had been changed , nothing that would have caused her a major problem. The nurse agreed with me, so she now has to wait for doctor to put it all right.

Came back home, several phones had to be done, that took me nearly an hour.

Decided to do a bit of gardening, got a whole bed cleared ready for replanting.

Peeled, sliced and cooked about 4lbs of pears and 3lbs of apples. Picked my last batch of french beans, got those cleaned and cooked. Made and baked 5 small minced turkey, onion and peas pies. Bagged up and put in freezer fruit that I cooked yesterday evening.

Just about to go and clear up kitchen, then I shall have a long soak in the bath and put my PJ's on.

Hope everyone had a good day.:doggieshmooze:
