One bag down

Lady down the road who runs a cat sanctuary keeps hens,ducks and geese. She sells the eggs to help pay for looking after the cats and leaves some in boxes outside her house with a sign saying how much the eggs are. In over 10 years of doing this she hasn't ever had a box taken without payment being left so judging by what others have written on this post we must be fortunate around these parts. So sad that someone would nick a bag of spuds rather than pay just the small amount asked for, unless of course they were really on hard times.

 

Honesty selling is very popular here in Hay, we even have honesty bookstalls and plant stalls, as far as I know nobody ever steals!!!

I think most people are ok around here, just the odd one or two that have no morals. I put a load of pots out some months ago with a sign saying free pots, one chap even knocked on the door to ask if it was ok to take them

 

Ahhhh, I bet he's the one who nicked the spuds.
