Good morning everyone, and a special Good morning to our new addition... Daniel:dancy:....

I hope everyone is on form and feeling OK:dbgrtmb:....

I've been out for my wander not that there's much to see it's very dark....when i first got up i noticed one of the lights on in the garden ..it was young Mr Fox passing through on his way home...the chooks are all in order so that's fine:dbgrtmb:...i always get a bit jittery at this time of the year for a while with the young ones as they are now being left to fend for themselves and they are very inquisitive ....it'll soon wear off when i'm confident they know the score as far as my 'girls' are concerned ...if this little fellow does what his mother has taught him he'll just pass through on his travels:pathd:.....
It's very mild out there...15 degrees...and said to be a sunny one when the sun wakes up:dbgrtmb:....

Just time for another cuppa and another layer of mascara and that's me ready for work:blue thumb:

      Waves to all,

Have a great day everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

Morning all, hope every one is well.

Early trip to the supermarket planned, and then back to do a bit in the garden, before settling down to the football this afternoon.

      Have a great day everyone.

      Aloha everyone,

I've been too busy to get on here for a couple of days - and none of it was gardening! The grass is getting very long so I had better get the mower out - note to self:- buy more petrol.

Moyra, I hope you can get your computer sorted :blue thumb:

Penny, many congratulations to all your family :dancy:

Steve, My meeting/seminar went very well on Thursday and I spent quite a bit of time yesterday writing a synopsis of what was covered and giving feedback. The pub had opened specially for us (they don't get lunchtime trade until the weekend as they are so out of the way) and we were able to have a relaxed meeting without interuption - and the occasional bevvy and toasted sandwiches :heehee:

Loli, I hope the furries are all OK :)

As our friend has had less than a week to learn her part (dress rehearsal today) we've been looking after her and acting as prompt whilst she's learning it. She's playing Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest.

Apart from being a voice coach (runs many courses in voice and presentation for multi-national corporations) she is, predominantly, a very accomplished actress. She has played in many West End productions and provincial theatres (recently did a year touring in Calendar Girls), done lots of films, radio shows and TV. She's appeared in a lot of well known TV programmes:- Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Dorothy L Sayer Mysteries, Campion, House of Elliot, Hetty Wainthrop Investigates, Peak Practice, The Bill, Doctors and many more.

She's another one of the people we have got friendly with on holidays over the years. She was working and we were holidaying :). We met her twice whilst holidaying, once when we were touring S.America (Chile, Peru, Equador etc) and the other when touring Africa (S. Africa, Madagascar and Zanzibar). She was touring with the Shakespeare Revue Company and was appearing where we were going. Quite a coincidence!

We've been very fortunate to make many friends whilst wandering in very out of the way places so we now have lots of places in the world where can stay or be taken around by people who live in those places. I think you tend to form more of a bond with people that you meet in unusual places than on a normal holiday.

Oh well, I had better get some work done! :heehee:

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

Yet another system restore back further. I do hope this has better results. I have now gone back before the last windows update that upset the use of this site so maybe, fingers crossed that this will revert it to where it was. All seems ok so far but I shall not hold my breath. I do hope that it has cured the problem. why should a windows update upset it I wonder? cos it certainly seems to have gone back to where it was before. Oh I do hope it has cured it. It is still going along ok without any failure. What do you think?

Trouble is do I now stop the windows updates if I am not to lose the system again. I wish I could ask Roger for advice it certainly is connected to those last window updates. I just do not know what to do. It has certainly cured it again. Mystery!

Hi @moyra , you could switch to only being notified that updates are ready and then manually instal them, leaving out any for IE, as your problem is only with the browser. That would help you to ascertain if it is an OS update or an IE update causing your woes.

If all is well leaving out IE updates, then I suggest you continue to update this way.

      Hello one and all,

Congrats to Penny, and family, welcome to Daniel, always liked that name, it's my son's middle name. His father wanted to have the same name as his, Adrian.

All is reasonably well in the household. Been out today for a boot sale, bit of a washout. Got another one on Sunday, hope that one is better.

OH leg is practically healed, only got one visit next week on Friday.

Hope everyone is able to have a lazy/relaxing day.:ccheers:

      Bye:doggieshmooze:

Morning all. A fine but slightly chilly start to the day here.
@moyra , as I posted above, you could try leaving the Internet Explorer updates out. I suggest that it this that could be the issue, or try another browser, you can happily have several exist on your system at the same time.

I recommend Firefox, I use this and have done happily for many years, it will import all your favourites and settings from IE for you.

      Get it from here http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/

      Have a great day everyone.

          Aloha everyone,

Woo, another superb sunrise :blue thumb:. I see you have the ground mist there. Today we have an interesting phenomenom as our back garden is crystal clear but the fields behind are totally obscured by mist. As the sun is now shining brilliantly I expect it will clear pretty quickly.

I was lucky enough to have parents that made me believe that anything was possible if you put your mind to it and I've tried to follow that philosophy (the body doesn't always keep up! :heehee:). They never gave me anything - but encouragement. I still remember my dad saying that 'if you want to buy something you're going to have to go out and earn it, as I don't have any to give you'. So I was washing cars at the age of eight :)

I think that my first venture into travelling was spending six weeks in the summer, at the age of fourteen, hitchhiking around the country and living rough. I did it with a friend of mine and we had a great time. Haystacks and barns are quite comfortable :blue thumb:

Nowadays, when we're on our travels we talk to anyone and everyone and it makes for a great holiday and new friends. We've become friends with many people around the world be they rich or poor.

Having lunch with a family we met in Egypt.

          276_7689.JPG

All our holidays have been made much more interesting by meeting the locals all round the world and they've all been wonderful people :love30:

          Have a great day

          Aloha!
