    Hi all
today I was to the chillie farm near where I live

    http://www.edibleornamentals.co.uk/

I went to pick up a few chillies for myself and family
and I had a lovely chat with one of the owner
Shawn , who gave me a tour and introduce me to some of the variety they
grow and sell , also he will do some course of hydrophonic culture in winter and really hope to join in ...

the nursery it`s almost empty as the end of the season is close
but they still have loads of variety on sale

this is a really strange variety , that can`t remember the name but the plant look really pretty and the chillie look like a tomato

    more and more

    forest of chillies

and one of the novelty that he is introducing to UK
the tomatilio (spelling?) which taste like an aubergine combined to a tomato

and this is a little selection that Shawn have selected for me
    hot hot and super hot

really love the color of the lemon chillie

JWK it was really good as he was explain the variety and various family and taste ..
very interesting is the chillie that look like a tomato in the last picture ....
he didn`t want any money for the chillies but in the end he charged me as other customers at £2 per bag ......If you want to buy seeds it would have cost me a fortunes ....loads of Naga , habanero , ghost chillie , e few more strange variety .
Really worth the trip as he can organice tours .

            Hiya Sal.

Some fab looking plants there, puts mine to shame.

            'Cherry Bomb' perhaps?

Hi Freddy , no they are not cherry bomb , apparently a rare variety that has been reintroduce recently , he told me to try it ........the plant can reach 2 meters in one season and has soft leaves , never seen it before ..and the flower it`s blue

            those are the plants
should taste like a cross of tomato and chillies

Looks good sal. I must try growing my own next year.
Enjoy cooking thai food and always end up buying chillis and some of the recipes require certain chillis that supermarkets just don't sell.

Found it , the chillie is called rocoto chillie or chillie tree

is juice as a tomato and it will produce a tree plant

The Rocoto looks amazing Sal :dbgrtmb: Just googled it , and its a hot one as well !
Mowgley its good fun growing your own Chillies . You really need to sow the seeds by the end of January to give them a long season to fruit . There are hundreds of Chilli sites with growing information and seeds for sale . You do have a limited choice of only 25,000 varieties to grow !
