I think its a brilliant idea, I have more than enough seeds for my needs, so can share if anyone wants to try my varieties, and I would like to try a few more and I literally want between 2-4 plants each variety, so would be great to swap. Im also taking part in the main swap.

I have a big shoe box to put the packets in, I am retired and have plenty of time for this Jack.
I go on holiday the last week of February - hence my comment about winding it up at the end of January 2014.
        It will be FUN...,
        Jenny

Fat Controller and I have devised a data recording system outside of GC as unfortunately the forum does not support an Excell Spreadsheet. It will be updated accordingly and the current position displayed on this thread at successive weekends so participants can see what's in the pot.
It's a bit of FUN ; no guarantees of success. The vagaries of the weather, growing conditions and pollinators all play their part as we well know.
So lets get this party started:

          Offered by Variety Description Notes

Jenny Namaste , Maskotka, trailing for containers, scruffy but prolific, in or outdoor.
Bulgarian Giant, cordon, large fruits, indoor/outdoor,

          Wanted
          Marmande, Gardeners Delight.

I will put this info. on the data recording system and ask participants to PM me their address and I will give them mine in return.
So, post your information in this format and we'll see how if it works,

          Jenny

Would it help if folk put commas between the "columns" of information?

My Name, The Variety, Some Description, Any Notes

as you should be able to "split to columns" then, using comma as a delimited.

I will have Omar Lebanese, Gartenperle, Moneymaker and Valencia to share. Im a bit undecided what I would like to grow next year, especially beef variety, anyone can suggest a nice, ripening early beef toms? And also, how do you save your seeds, do you go through the fermentation process?

I squeeze my seeds onto the corner of a sheet of kitchen towel, write the type on the paper, fold it in to a quarter square, pop on a sunny window sill to dry, then store. When it comes to planting, I remove all the paper I can down to 1 ply.and lay on top of compost with a light covering of compost, like a seed tape. I find that quick and easy.
