Progress report: Laid down the grass seeds last week and it's developing nicely but looking a bit patchy, here's some pics: P1030259.JPG P1030260.JPG P1030264.JPG
Looking at the current progress would I need to (as I suspect) scatter some more grass seed over the patchy ground?
Also I have a tree in my garden I'm extremely keen to get rid of, what I'd like to know is what kind of tree is it?: P1030263.JPG
Cheers in advance for any help!

Holy Mackerel, is it gold plated, diamond studded grass seed? I think I paid less than a fiver a box when I did mine, and that was before I discovered that the local farm shop sold it by the pound, and I came away with a big bag full for a couple of quid.

I'd give it another week before you sow more seed. The weather is cooling down now so the seed will take longer to germinate.

I have no idea about the tree, are there any leaf close-ups we could see please? Does it flower?

A good idea best not to jump the gun! As regards the tree I notice I didn't show the whole thing. It does indeed flower, I'll post a clearer picture soon.

Suffering succotash! Unfortunately the benefit of hindsight doesn't work too well here in my urban sprawl as there haven't been any farms around here for over 1oo years! I dare say I could still find the odd deal here and there though...
