Got quite cold here in Prescot yesterday, though no rain or wind, but I just couldn't 'summon up any motivation' to go outside. Maybe I was just overtired as I've been very [IMG] recently. Decided to occupy myself on having a 'furniture shufty around' - much to Mr Ollie's consternation ...................

By bedtime, I was very happy with the results. PC is now away from a draughty window - sofas are at right-angles to each other - coffee table can be reached from both sofas - 2 bookcases have been swapped over - TV can be viewed from both sofas - table/chairs is in a convenient position.

Mr Ollie eventually decided to connect up my recent Charity Shop find of a Combination DVD/Video Recorder/Player using the set of leads that I bought over a month ago.

I even managed to change the sheets, remove the Summer Duvet and put the Autumn/Spring one on the bed.

Three loads of laundry also done and dried using a combination of the airer and the tumble dryer.

All in all, it was a very productive day :).

Today feels quite a bit warmer - no 'damp patches' on the pavement, so it doesn't look as though it's rained overnight. Clear view down to the buildings in the centre of Liverpool - could be quite a pleasant day in store for Merseyside. I'm sure Fern will be in soon with news of what it's like in her part of Liverpool.

All ready dropped by today! Seeing as you've got a clear view, I started waving to you earlier but you didn't notice! :roflol: ;)

Glad you got your furniture sorted. Things always look a lot more homely when you get things the way you want them. :)

aww sorry I missed you, Fern - maybe I still had the blinds closed, or a bit bleary-eyed.

Later, I'm off to my Mum's for a week - on the Wirral - so I'll give a [IMG] from the bus on my way through Liverpool.

When it's not raining it's drizzly. Just read online as well that we're set for the worst winter in 100 years, to begin next month...

Was that in The Daily Express by any chance? They forecast that every year. After they've repeated that forecast for 99 years I might take it seriously.

Has remained dry all day, and the wind and rain have yet to make their debut. In no doubt about it's arrival by mid morning tomorrow though. Looks a bit messy,

A strong gusty breeze from the NorthEast which dropped the temperature down. It has stayed dry but once or twice the skies got really dark but no rain. The temperature now is 53f:coffee:

A mainly sunny day with big fluffy clouds and a cold north east breeze blowing again, 14C. I've worn a coat today for the first time since spring, not good! 8C expected tonight and frost probably isn't that far away either.

Has been raining since about 6pm yesterday, don't think it has stopped at all. Cold and very windy. Horrid.

Wet wet wet and looks as if it will continue through the day plus it's cold windy and dull - so no outside work going to get done today. Don't think I'll even make it to the greenhouse.

Liver and belly pork casserole ready to go into the oven, coffee pot on the go and a good book ready to start - think I may be able to manage that.
