Vent alert!!!! (Do not read if you are out for a happy browse of the forum)

So let us clear this up. It is ok in Key West, Florida to walk on the street and drink a beer, mixed drink and wine. In fact I bike in Key West with a martini in my basket. That is why they have, in Key West the slang term the Duval Crawl. You start at a bar on one side of the street buy a drink, walk to the next buy a fill up, keep walking etc, and at the end your crawling. Well in one case my husband mooned (another story).
Anyway, but in general most places in the USA, don't like you to walk on the sidewalks/street with a drink. It could be a combination of bar sales, controlling a drunk, not giving to miners. Who knows.

They have that in every town in the UK, except Boredom in Hampshire, where they only have/had one pub.
