      Aloha everyone,
Still on the notepad, cannot be bothered to keep trying to find the problem. As I say I don't have problems elsewhere only on this site.
Penny, we have been told that snow is forecast for us in November too and that we could have quite a bad winter. Hope it is not too severe for any of us.
Shiney, Glad Mrs S got a lift as that road of yours is dangerous to walk down and vehicles travel at too fast a speed for the nature of the road.
Loli, So Mr Fox is taken to digging up your lettuce now, rather that than the chickens home.
Steve, I can imagine that this colder weather will affect your arms and hands a lot more but I am glad you are managing to persevere.
WOO, glad you are nice and warm in your nest and do hope that Mrs WOO is improving too. Take care of you and your wife and daughter, hope things are better for you all soon.
Kandy,it is the strong winds that are the worst you can suffer a bit of cold and rain but those winds do the damage.
Amber off her food, she has decided she doesn't want chicken and rice as the vet advised and neither does she want Bakers complete either. Never mind she will eat when she feels like it. I might see if I can tempt her with something else later.
Have a good day all and stay safe and warm, God bless.
      Aloha!

        Good morning everyone,

Its not as cool here this morning, and its raining...but hey its better then snow!!

I'm off and running today, have a bunch of errands to do for Brad, and need to drop off 2 garbage bags of baby clothes at the Salvation Army for Natalie, stuff she doesn't want or need. We went down last night and helped her out, Dan was at hockey and Daniel was having a rough night and she's never bathed him before on her own, and being 11 days old she was nervous, so we went and helped her. Its nice that she's 7 blocks away from us too.

Cute story.....Kait is doing her placement this semester at University and she's at a public school, and a little boy in grade 1 made her a picture and asked her if she would go on a date with him this weekend......too cute!!

Off to get some towels out of the dryer, and add some more........so enjoy your day everyone.

        Hello everyone,

Just checking in, trying to get myself warm, I got a bit soaked when I went to see my lady this morning.
OH seems to be ok, hope that on Friday, his leg has improved. Also he has an appointment to see our doctor. His memory has been a problem just lately, and he has mobility/balance issues.

Hope everyone has a good afternoon.:doggieshmooze:

I've now got food prepared and shall take a break - but need to fill up bird feeders.

We shall have home made chicken noodle soup - with some root veggies in. Followed by a good wholesome oxtail stew (cooked with, onions, garlic, carrots, turnip, celery, potatoes, herbs, tom puree and a touch of red wine) accompanied by homegrown runnerbeans and cabbage. Dessert will be apple, pear, currants and cinnamon crumble or freshly picked conference pears.

If it warms up enough this morning (sun now shining brilliantly) we may eat outside. :dancy:

        Good morning everyone
We have fog here again this morning,{no wonder my joints are killing me}so it will be interesting to see whether we get any more rain today.:gaah:

Gdnam,I hear on the news they have arrested four men for that murder in the chuchyard so it will be interesting to see how the trial goes and what sentence if any they get:catapult:

We have to take Poppy for her annual booster/check up this evening and the little so and so is spending all day out in the damp garden and hasn't eaten anything for the last couple of days despite me trying her on tuna, salmon etc and turns her nose up at her medication so hopefully the vet will be able to find out what is going on with her:cat-kittyandsmiley:

I am so glad that it is Friday so we might be able to get to the lottie to pick some more fruit and veggies but rain is forecast for Sunday so need to get over tomorrow if possible:biggrin:

Our car reached 100,000 miles the other day on the odometer and managed to get a photo of it just before and after the change over:snork:

        Have a great day everyone:smile:

        Morning all,

Misty start here this morning. OH has a day off, but has to go get a rush job passport for my BiL from Peterborough, she is a little nervous as although a good driver she usually leaves the 'getting to places' to me , and she has to do this one on her own as I am working. The car has built in sat nav, but she don't get on too well with them. (Had better keep my phone handy !)

@Kandy , indeed they have, 2 have been released on bail, but 2 remain in custody, the Police were granted an extended 36 hours detention yesterday. I am expecting to hear of charges being brought sometime today. The manager where I am currently working knew the chap from school and is following events closely, so I get updates all the time.

Hope everyone is well, have a great day.

          Aloha everyone,

It was a busy day yesterday :phew:. After sorting out lunch and the guests having gone I did a 'meals on wheels' delivery (some food I'd cooked for one of Mrs Shiney's patients). When I got back the freezer was going mad and the temperature had risen by 14C :hate-shocked:. So I loaded most of the food into the car and took it to someone who had spare space in their freezer - four villages away. The freezer now seems to be working but I don't think it's working properly. So I may give it a 24 hour defrost. It's a 'self-defrosting' freezer that I found out a few years ago doesn't mean it defrosts itself properly

This morning I have to take Mrs Shiney and one of her patients into the edge of London so that they can go right to the other side of London for some tests! Then pick them up again this afternoon.

We have a busy day tommorow as Mrs Shiney is having a coffee morning where people are coming round to look at her crafts and, hopefully, buy a lot. She sold quite a bit last year and donated some of the proceeds to our charity. :blue thumb: We're expecting over 60 people and a couple of friends will be coming over to help me with the catering. Mrs Shiney has spent hours pricing and displaying things. I'm not sure whether it's possible to take good photos of them but I'll give it a bash.

Keep well and have a great day

          Aloha!

          Good morning everyone,

I hope everyone is on form:dbgrtmb:...

Shiney...do you think all those power cuts could have upset your freezer?...we had the same problem with our last freezer and ended up having to get a new one....
Mrs Shiney could do to do mail order' of her lovely crafts ...she makes such lovely things:wub2:;)...

Kandy ...this damp weather certainly won't be any good for your joints...take care:dbgrtmb:

Gdnam...I'm sure Mrs Gdnam will be fine:blue thumb:...i don't get on with sat navs either:biggrin: i stick to a map:dbgrtmb:...

Moyra....Hope you are OK and Amber is feeling better too....:dbgrtmb:

Woo.... Hope all is well in the Woo's nest :dbgrtmb:

Penny.....'Peanut' how cute....:dancy:....he'll soon be enjoying his first Halloween:dbgrtmb:....

Hope the Lili's and Jazzie's et al are all ok:dbgrtmb:

I got plenty done in the garden yesterday especially with it being such a beautiful day....probably that's why i feel a bit rickety today....we were forecast fog here but it hasn't arrived and i can't hear the fog horn on the Humber so we've got away with it up to now ....:dbgrtmb:....Popping to Mums to see if there is anything she needs as i'm at work all the weekend...then i'll come back and empty the hanging baskets...i don't know why i hang on to them for so long they've well and truly had it now:doh:

Have a great day everyone and take care:SUNsmile:
