    Hi ya'll,

    Up and down day today.

The lady I go to in the morning, has had to go into hospital today, her MS nurse was not happy that she could not get rid of a sweat, which was they believe caused by a urine infection, she has had 4 doses of antibiotics. So she went late this afternoon.

My OH went to have his leg redressed, and still needs another visit next Friday.

Have managed to get halfway through the bungalow, getting rid of any cobwebs, moving the furniture, hoovering into all the corners that my husband misses !

Started knitting again, sold a pineapple tea cosy last week to a lad who has just opened a coffee shop called the 'Pineapple Coffee shop'? She wants me to make some more in different colours.
So am making a scarlet one.

    So, off to get clicking.
    bye for now

Time for another quick cuppa then i'm off:coffee:

    Aloha everyone,

It's a bit dreary out there this morning but I hope it picks up. The coffee morning/craft sale starts at 10.30 and we need dry weather as the coffee and cakes will be served outside :hate-shocked:

Ahh! Is that what we're supposed to do with them? I knew we were doing something wrong. :heehee:

    Have a great day

    Aloha!

I've been to the village shop to get some nice hot french sticks as we're doing a ploughman's luch for our helpers. Got the benches and chairs out, put out the police cones, swept the car port, mowed the lawn, got the urn heating up, parked the car up the road and am going to have some porridge. :heehee:

It's started drizzling lightly so have just put out the awning. Hope it doesn't rain as I'll have to keep pushing off the puddles of water that will collect in the awning.

        Good morning everyone,

Had to take Poppy back to the vets this morning as she is still not eating hardly anything so the vet wanted to have her back as her temperature was on the high side{gone back to normal now though}After a thorough examination the vet concluded that one of her kidneys has got smaller but the other one should work for both of them so he is going to take some blood to try and asertain what is going on as to why the weight is going down {1lb loss so far} and to see what is going on with the thyroid and kidneys:sad:

We had rain first thing but it has stopped now but too wet for the lottie visit so will have to find other things to do:biggrin:

Good Luck to the Cobblers this afternoon and a win would be very nice:dancy:

Have a very good day everyone who have good things going on today:smile:

          Aloha everyone,

Kandy, I hope Poppy picks up :blue thumb:

The coffee morning went well. Lots of people turned up and the rain, just, held off for the two hours. The big stuff was out under the pergola and I sold a few plates and dishes. These were the first two I sold
          P1180456.JPG

All the smaller stuff was in the summerhouse. She sold a lot of bracelets (bead, Pandora style and memory wire), smaller glass items (T-light bridges, trinket dishes, pendants etc) and, especially, a lot of knitted ear warmers and scarves.

An unexpected side to the event was that a lot of people wandered round the garden and wanted to buy plants that were being prepared for our May show! So I had to check with Mrs Shiney whether the wanted plants were supposed to be planted in our garden, kept for splitting or cuttings, or being got ready for sale. Then she had to work out a price - and she was very busy with her crafts :rolleyespink:.

Tea/coffee and cakes were free and our kitchen helpers were kept quite busy. After everyone had gone we sat on the patio, under the canopy as it had started drizzling, and I served ploughmans for the nine of us that had been working. As it had been such a good morning with a brilliant atmosphere our lunch was one big laughing and joking time :blue thumb:. We had to finish suddenly as the rain started coming down hard and the canopy was filling up with water. :hate-shocked:

Mrs Shiney had to do a lot of clearing up in the summerhouse as she's teaching in there at the weekend. Then she gave each of the helpers a treatment:phew:. I did all the clearing up on the patio and then went and collected our cars from down the road and returned all the gear I'd borrowed from the village hall.

In the evening six of us went for a lovely Indian :blue thumb:

Today we're quite busy. We're out this morning looking at the installation of some solar panels and then have to get back quickly as I have to prep the food for our lunchtime guests.

It's the start of a busy week.

For me it's mainly bridge. My normal clubs three times a week (two I run and the other I just relax at), two county league matches and, on Sunday I'm playing for the county against Suffolk (an away match). I've also got three meetings that I'll be chairing.

For Mrs Shiney, she has some patients booked in but is out two evenings giving talks ('Herbs and Health' and 'Healing Plants') which takes quite a bit of preparation. She's also out at a theatre one night and teaching all day Saturday (I'll be doing the cooked lunch for the students, as usual). We've also been invited out to dinner at friends one night.

In between we shall try and get some gardening done.

A week in the life of the Shineys!! :heehee: (I'm pleased that I'm able to take it easy now that I'm retired :lunapic 130165696578242 5:)

          Have a great day

          Aloha!

            Morning all,

@shiney , I am exhausted just reading your post ! :phew: Glad all went well for you.

@Loli , not as well as I had hoped for, but at least we managed to not get beat, and the team played well.

I have to see how wet yesterdays rain has left my garden, I have some bulbs to plant out, but the ground was sodden yesterday, and more heavy rain means will probably be worse today.

            Have a great day everyone.
