Batten down the hatches.....

Earlier this week I was getting a little concerned when looking at wind forecast maps for Monday and seeing colours on them I haven't seen before, hitting South Wales and then moving over Central England, but current forecasts show lower wind speeds further south:

They've forecast hurricane-force winds down there :(

 

Ok, so we need Batteries, clean drinking water, warm clothing, duvets, food and a shovel.

All the leaves are still on the trees so they will be like huge sails like it was in 1987

Yes, bought some today. I don't think the weather is going to be quite so bad up here but the vessels won't be sailing though. It's blowing a good'un out there now as I can hear stuff moving around, it's probably my carport roof wanting to move house.

 

Ah. Maybe I won't bother trying to fix the greenhouse roof then.

 

You will need lots of hot water and clean sheets..........no that's for childbirth in cowboy films Feed your huskies before bedding down.

 

I hope all small boats will have the sense to make for port and wait until it passes. The southerly wind, if combined with a high tide, will bring problems to coastal buildings,
