Another bargain bin rescue - Clerodendrum wallichii.......................
    DSC_1392.jpg

It was rather dry and limp when I got it, and I lost a fair few blooms, but for three quid it was worth a punt. Boy has it rewarded me!

      It is rather!
Tender Clerodendrums are easy given enough light, warmth and water!

I moved this pot of Bessera elegans into the front room when the wind and rain was threatened and it has romped away and looks good towering over the Clerodendrum....................

I'll leave it there until the seeds that are forming are ready.

This is still in the greenhouse but is due to be brought in to the house.

It's the second time this year that it has bloomed. :blue thumb:

@Kristen this is a sibling of the one you had. Is yours blooming again?

No ... conservatory being rebuilt, so they are currently outside. Look fine, but I am more interested in getting them a perfect spot in the new conservatory once built.

The steels went in yesterday ... its a lot taller than I imagined, hope it won't look ghastly!!

P.S. I'm well endowed with Hoya now, Pete kinds sent me a couple of cuttings (last Spring) and I have your more unusual ones too ... so the new Conservatory is going to look & smell smashing when they are full tilt. Can't wait :)

That sounds great :blue thumb:. You'll just have to watch out for floor getting sticky underneath them when they're in bloom.

                  Epiphyllum oxypetalum

Sadly, the only flower this year. I've been Seriously thinking whether or not to keep the plant as it takes up a lot of space and is quite unruly. Then a flower comes along and all is forgiven! They are huge but beautifully scented and just the one flower was strong enough to scent the whole conservatory.

Oxalis Cupido loves living on the bathroom window sill as do a few more precious ones that I want to keep safe over Winter.

@Jenny namaste - the flower buds on my Stapelia blasted in the greenhouse a couple of weeks ago (too cool at night?) so it's now in the kitchen.
I'm waiting for Cupido to go dormant as it's in need of fresh compost as the colour was poor this year.

My only named Phal is back in bloom - "Yu Pin Pearl"..................
