    Morning Loli,

I have had a quick look at the print out the vet practise gave us as we wanted to know what the £344 was spent on and it just says meds every four hours and I know it wasn't the thyroid tablets as Chris said he kept her off of them so it might just have been the fluids that they gave her by IV drip but then again she passed the last lot of that stuff as we transported her back home. When we take her tonight I will make sure I ask:biggrin:Hope Theo doesn't put on too much weight as it won't do his joints any good:eeew: Good thing to gte your mum and dad to have the flu jabs.I had the flu years ago and it laid me up for quiet a few days and left me with a cough for months after:frown:

    Have a good day:smile:

    Aloha everyone,

@Kandy I forgot to mention that when tagging you have to leave a space after the name. I notice that when you tagged Gdnam you had a comma immediately afterwards, sorry :love30:.

I tend to get a bit of tendonitis in my elbow but I think that the current problem is due to muscular problems from having gripped the pressure hose for so long. The inside of the elbow gets a sudden shooting pain if I put it in certain positions. In other positions it doesn't hurt at all. I can carry heavy shopping bags with no trouble at all but can't get my cuppa to my mouth :rolleyespink:.

Having the flu jab is a matter of choice but we try to avoid having any jabs at all. I'm just arranging our wanderings through Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil for later in the winter and we shan't have any jabs, or tablets, for that trek.
I'm a bit wary about some of the places that Mrs Shiney's brother is trying to get all of us to go to, a month or so after we get back from S. America. It's a tour of Burma (Myanmar) but I'm studying the places he wants to go to and some of them are on the 'places to avoid' list put out by the government. I might look to see whether we can find some villages in interesting places that aren't a danger for travellers! I don't want GC to have to start a fund to ransom us. :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

It's dry outside at the moment although the local forecast says it's raining at the moment! :heehee: It's 55F (about 13C) out there and nice and cosy warm in here :). I've brought some of the chilli plants in for the winter and they seem quite happy. :hapydancsmil:

I expect today to get reasonably warm and for tomorrow to be the same. If it is then I shall serve lunch, tomorrow, to the students out in the garden.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

    Morning everyone.

Its cold here, the furnace kicked on through the night, and there was snow on the windshield of the truck when I took Brad to work. In fact its still kind of snowing out there now, more of a wet snow...I am just glad to see that its all melting when it hits the ground!!:blue thumb:

Have a busy morning, have a hair appointment at 9, and then off for my manicure at 10, once I'm done there I need to pop into Walmart for a few things, and then pick up Brad at the shop since we are going down to get Kait for the weekend, I think Natalie and Daniel are going to come with us, Kaits room mates want to see him.:)

We get to babysit him tomorrow, Nat and Dan are helping their church renovate a building (nice building) that they bought to turn into a coffee house, which is just down the road from our shop, and on the way out to the ski hills, so it should be good. Whenever Natalie wants to return to work, they want her to be their main barista, since she has the most experience but she's not even thinking of that until next summer.:dbgrtmb:

Off to throw some laundry into the dryer, so enjoy your day everyone.:)

      Aloha everyone,

Busy day today. The students have had their pre-course cuppas and are settled in the summerhouse. I shall start on the lunch soon. Two different Thai veggie curries with rice, followed by apple, pear, raisin, cinnamon and clove compote with mango, papaya and passionfruit yoghurt. That should give them their 15 a day! :heehee:

It's mild and sunny so we'll eat in the garden.

you must be used to helping us oldies with their tea :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

We've just had lunch in the garden and I'm having a cuppa before doing the washing up. It's very mild out there.

          Good morning everyone,

I was hoping for a lie in:snooze: this morning but my body clock said it was six am so ended up getting up:yawn:

Loli,Poppy got on ok at the vets on Friday and has gained some of the weight she dropped but still has a bit more to put on.I completley forgot to ask about Steroids but when i looked at the print outs one of the things they gave her was Metacam but I am not sure what that was for. She has had her booster now so that is out of the way for another year.We have to take her back in three weeks for a blood test to check the thyroid levels and to get some more tablets so will see how things go:fingers crossed:It is a shame that Theo is having to take meds at such a young age but when they are our furries we try to do the best we can for them...

Yesterday we went and got the grocery shopping out of the way as it was raining on and off so couldn't get to the lottie then later we popped to our local airfield to see if we could find the Great Grey Shrike that has turned up there. We had a bit of a wait until we eventually spotted it and Mr Kandy was able to get some good shots of it but mine are a bit rubbishe because I only use my small camera:sad:

We have had more rain and it is breezy out there but nothing yet like the 80mile an hour winds they are forecasting but think thta is mainly tonight and tomorrow it will hit us:th scifD36:

          Have a good day everyone:smile:

          Morning all,

Didn't make parade yesterday, as had loads to do and felt like muck. OH has passed on her cold, so I now have man flu :sick0026:.

Going to double secure the blow away this morning, ready for the predicted winds that are coming. Might do some other stuff out the front, as needs a bit of a tidy, see how I feel in a bit.

have a great day everyone, ahhchoooo!

                Morning everyone,

Its cold here and we had a dusting of snow overnight....supposed to be cold or rain all week, doesn't look good for the kiddies for Halloween!!

We had a busy busy day yesterday, had Daniel for most of the day, did some shopping and a little more Christmas shopping, and bought him a Fisher Price swing, since he loves to be constantly in motion, has lights and sounds and music, he was in it last night and was fascinated by the lights.

Brad and I made 40 cabbages rolls and have those in 2 crockpots, and we'll be taking those to the in laws for supper later, Kait and Chris will be there before she heads back to school tonight, as well as Nat, Dan and peanut, so there will be 8 of us, any leftovers the others can take home.

I think I'm off to Toronto early tomorrow morning, so if I don't pop in right away, you know why(lol).......o0ff to transfer the bedding into the dryer.....so enjoy the rest of your day everyone.
