Oh hey Kandy...I forgot to ask, are you still watching Ice Road Truckers still? If so, what season are you on? A new season started here a few weeks ago, and its all taking place in Canada, mostly northern Manitoba, and Lisa and Darryl have come to work here.

Hugh has opened his own trucking company and is competing against his old boss at Polar, and that's who Lisa and Darryl work for([polar), and lets just say that the ice roads here are kicking their butts!!

How is everyone?...i hope you are all OK:dbgrtmb:
I hope 'the Storm' is being gentle with you...i'm having difficulty tracking it as every report i read seems to contradict the other:rolleyespink:

It's been quiet here overnight and then the heavy rains came at around 4.30am.....it's torrential only a slight breeze though...

I hope everyone is safe and stays that way:grphg:

I have been as far as the end of the garden to check my 'girls'...:chicken::dbgrtmb: the dogs reluctantly ran out to the gents and back so it's cup of tea time then work:blue thumb:

Anyone that has to go out....take extra care..:dbgrtmb:

      Keep safe everyone:SUNsmile:

        Morning all,

Hope everyone is safe. The winds have not been too bad here, certainly no worse than yesterday afternoon. It has been lashing down with rain most of the night.

Am still feeling very rough, but have a 5th Monday of work to go to, so that will take my mind off it.

Stay safe, and have a great day.

        Good morning everyone,

The wind has picked up quiet a bit since I got up at five when there wasn't any and the rain is falling quiet well as i type.

The local weather forecasters for the county says the worst of the weather is over for us and should improve as the day goes on:hapydancsmil:

Penny I can't remember what the last season of IRT was that we watched, think it was season six as you are normally ahead of us so you must have watched season seven over in Canada. Will try and find some clips on the net to see exactly what we have watched, although I do remember a girl called Mia?being in it and thought that Lisa was looking a bit tired in the last series we watched:rolleyespink:

        Have a good day everyone:smile:

        Aloha everyone,

Kandy, I am glad that Poppy is on the mend but that is an awful lot of money for a little pussy cat.

Loli, I hope all is well in your corner of the country.

Shiney, hope you haven't got too much damage there. take care we are through the worst.

WOO hope all is well there with you and yours too.

The wind has done so much damage here with trees and large boughs down. It was quite scarey taking Amber for a walk across the green because you cannot dodge the trees as they are all close together and were bending double as we walked through them. Amber barked at the trees that were down as she was frightened of them. Think it is beginning to ease a little now not sure. Well those of you who are still in the worst areas now do take care.
Have a safe day whatever you do and take care. God bless.
        Aloha!:wub2:

        Greetings everyone,

Loli,Shiney said last week he was having his solar panels fitted so unless they got blown away while fitting them the job should be done and dusted:snork:

Moyra, yes it is a big bill for our cat but what can you do when they are poorly. We couldn't just sit back and watch her starve to death, and as I look at it they have only cost us the price of food, vaccinations, meds, cattery etc over the last ten years and all the love they have given us is unmeasurable so in the end the expence is worth it.:cat-kittyandsmiley: Hope Amba wasn't too distressed with the fallen trees and wind, and hopefully it has all died down now:biggrin:

Loli, how are the chooks and furries.Did they all come through the storm ok?

Woo,lovely photos of the little Pug and glad in a way that you found the owner although she was naughty leaving the poor thing out all night.:doggieshmooze:

Gdnam,Hope you got to work ok yesterday and didn't encounter too much debris or standing water as there was a fair bit out our way in the town and on some of the country roads:frown:

        Have a good day everyone:smile:

          Morning all,

@Kandy , Totally agree with expenditure for our furry babies. I would rather go without myself, than not get them to the vets. Something I have to do with Copper this week as he has a 'tick' on his ear.

Not much damage in my part of town, only saw a couple of blown over signs, and the odd fence panel down on the way into work. Only had 1 local delivery out yesterday, so didn't see else where. I think we got off pretty lightly here.

          Have a great day everyone.

          Good morning everyone,

Kandy...I've just been reading that in the Shineyland area the storm created quite a bit of damage, fallen trees and damage to power lines...lets hope they'll be fixed soon:dbgrtmb:
Re Poppy....i know what you mean,if i reckoned up the vet bills from my Dogs and my old Cat i could be living the high life but i'd pay it all over again to have my oldies back:doggieshmooze::cat-kittyandsmiley:....

Gdnam ..i hope you are feeling better today....first thing in a morning these colds feel shocking don't they...then seem to ease slightly until the evening when you feel back to square one:doh::dbgrtmb:

I saw the most fabulous sight this morning....just as the sky was changing there was a Heron flying by....it was an amazing silhouette :dancy:...it would have made a lovely picture:wub2:i was too slow:doh:....

Waves to all....Hope everyone is OK:dbgrtmb:

Have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:
