Wondering what the heck is going on, and all looking evil eyed at Fogerty with an expression which says:
"YOU scoffed all the mealworms and now look at the result!" :chicken: :th scifD36: :nonofinger:

The corrugated roof was a 'rain proof' cover which lay on top of the wired roof: so, thankfully, all the hennies are ok - just a bit confused and huddling under their Cube.

Not expecting any eggs from them today though ;)

Nothing today, apart from moving things like the free-standing bird table etc back out of the shed, if the weather doesn't worsen. Otherwise, apart from going to the supermarket, I'm staying dry & warm inside ;)

Got away scot free last night apart from all the Taxodium leaves, so I spent a couple of hours this afternoon using them to mulch a few things up for the winter.

Actually got a fair bit done today once the great tempest had passed over.

Picked up and sorted about 10 bucketfulls of windfall apples, swept up all the leaves and twigs from the front drive and rear patio.

Had a call from Mrs Trunky this afternoon, she'd popped round to see her dad and found half of a fairly large apple tree in his garden had snapped off in the wind and had come to rest partly on the roof the neighbour's shed.

So, off round to father-in-law's armed with saws and loppers to sort that out.

Still had enough daylight left when I got back home to cut the grass, been trying to get it done for about 3 weeks now and kept getting rained off. Quite sunny and breezy after this morning's shenanigans so the grass had dried out nicely. :)

Just enough time left after that to trim a few lavender bushes which I didn't get round to doing last month.

Got to lift the Thalia fuchsia before it got dark, when I got home from work.
Might take some cuttings and pot the original plants up.

Just spent a few hours tidying up outside and planting some bulbs. There's a swedish whitebeam which drops berries everywhere so I brushed these up and chucked them in the green bin. Emptied some pots of annuals that had just finished flowering, cleaned them and planted some crocus bulbs. Tied up the achillea which is still flowering, cut back the asters which were looking manky and brushed up a load of leaves.

I've still got tulips to plant so I will buy some new pots for these over the weekend. Just sitting down now with a cuppa....my back's killing me!
