I'm sorely tempted :) I am a little worried he'll chew through the phone line & the fridge power cable. The wiring is a little odd here ;)

Not really :( How the phone cable is, it's been kind of cobbled together and isn't even flush against the wall... The building was converted 35 years ago, and then the previous owners were a bit of have-a-go DIY-ers who had little knowledge in a lot of areas. They're right behind the outside door as well so no option of putting a cupboard or something there. I'd love to take the advice given but I daren't risk electrocuting him. I'm hoping once the vets get the results and he gets some medicine, he'll not need to go as often. Poor boy!

Sorry for going on about him :) and thank you for the advice etc :)

You're not going on about him Ellen, you're worried and need a little help, if we can give that then all well and good. :) It's quite often difficult when you're a new mum! :heehee:

If you can't cover the wiring, is it possible to section off may be half the kitchen overnight, anything's worth a try.

Hmmm...that does make it difficult....is there a way where you could section part of the kitchen off...like a sort of large playpen affair that will still fit his crate in but keep him safe from the electrics...it probably sounds like i'm defeating the object but i'm wondering if he'll still come out of his crate to go to the loo....

Don't be sorry....i'm sure we're all eager to crack it and want to hear of Reggies progress:doggieshmooze:

We both thought of the same thing there Sheal:)

I can't resist sharing this...when my two were pups we cordoned off part of the kitchen...we have a sofa in the kitchen but they were too small to even attempt to get on it....after a couple of weeks i woke up to the sound of the television....i got up to see what was going on and there they both were sat on the sofa as good as gold watching TV ....Archi was sat on the remote:biggrin:

                Thanks everyone :) you're all great :)

I really do think it'll be ok when he's better. I've chased up the vets but still nothing back with the results

Vets came back to me and the results of the sample test showed no unwanted guests etc. After a lengthy chat on the phone with the vet, without further tests being done he's swaying towards colitis (and looking at the signs/symptoms he's pretty much got the majority of them) or food intolerance. He's back in on Monday for some tests.

It's good and bad that the tests didn't show anything Ellen. If it's colitis the vet should be able to sort that fairly easily. Let's hope little Reggie is on the mend asap, he must be pretty miserable at the moment.

It does explain a few things in honesty; his quiet whimpering when we pick him up, if we hold him near his tummy as if he's in a little pain, and needing to go more (among other things!) I wiki'd colitis and it does really sound like it. If so, antibiotics or special diet would sort that out. I really hope it's that and nothing else, as I want to get him better asap! Thinking back (after chatting with the vet) he's never been 100% in that department since we had him
