Hi guys
this is an hard one , it look like an hoya but completely different from the usual




and the flower

 

Flowers do look different from usual structure.
This site shows 9 pages of Hoya sp and cultivars.
Maybe you will find something?

Silver surfer as good as ever ...maybe just an hybrid

 

Has it set fruit Sal? I'm wondering if it's not a Hoya but a relative instead. Calotropsis maybe?

 

no Longk no fruit , strange bud really nice plants , it grow up that big in one season and the owner doesn`t know what to do in winter .....

 

It was sold as hoya with no label

 

But there is no spur where the flowers emerge?

Might be worth checking Flickr for an Asclepiadoideae group?

 

Longk , this is the point ....the flower has a complete different structure from the hoya ....but we can`t find anything similar .....plus the plant has grwon that big in a single season , not many hoya grow so fast .

 

My point too! I reckon that it's one of the Asclepiadoideae which is why I came up with the Flickr idea.

 

been try to googled all evening with no luck ....the closest I get is an hoya

 

Take a look at this lot, especially leaf detail. C.gigantea is very fast growing - still trying to find my photo.

 

no really the if you look at the plant , look like a rope that just growing around , not a tree like ....plus the flower is purple ....we are close , but not there yet

 

Where is it growing?

 

Sardinia Italy ....but is not originate from there , the person who got it , just noticed the big leaves and they told her was an unnamed hoya ...
