The wind is insane here tonight, literally whistling around the house. I suspect there will be debris every where tomorrow.

Despite some extremely strong gusts up to midnight, this morning we have clear blue skies, a light breeze and no damage thankfully :)

Only got as far as the garden and found a couple of smashed roof slates. The road outside my road is covered in leaves so I hope we don't get heavy rain as every road drain is blocked :ouch1:

I'm venturing out with the dog now, I'll report back but I don't think any serious damage around here, the wind was relentless all night but the gusts only got up to 63mph.

Been nearly as blowy here today as it was on Monday - I had propped the loose fence panel with the strawberry tree and slabs of concrete (as well as it being in its channel in the fence posts fully) and yet the wind still managed to blow it out and across the patio earlier - - dog nearly lais an egg when it came out, bless him!

It is now back in once more, and this time it is screwed back onto the large end post that is attached to the house, with 5-inch screws - that should hold the blighter in place.

No damage here last night, luckily the wind came from the side where my house is sheltered from it. I had to go out with the torch after midnight and make an adjustment to the temporary fix on my greenhouse door as it was starting to loosen. Thankfully the door is still attached today.

well the storm the t'other day bet the living daylights out of one of the large buddleia's, i thought it was just generally being thrashed around that had the branches hanging out at an odd angle but no, it was actually partially uprooted & sorta twisted around on itself (if you follow - the whole shrub is now facing a different direction!) windrock really did a number on it, spent most of the day sorting it out :gaah:

You know, i hadn't really realised until I just read your post, but my buddleia seems to be leaning more... I'll go check it when it's stopped raining.

I'd swear the telegraph pole outside our house is leaning a bit more than it was - thankfully, leaning away from the drive though

i had a good nosy around incase anything else had been effected but it seems it was just the poor ol' buddleia, it had to be the one with the lovely dark flowers too didn't it, not one of the 'normal' ones, hardly  i hope it'll be ok now, i've put it back in the ground as it was & pruned off the excess & damaged branches & tied the rest securely to the fence...now i just have to hope it pulls through & that if another storm hits that it doesn't take the fence down with it, like the...ehem... eucalyptus did previously ...oh my, maybe not such a good idea tying it to the fence then ey

My neighbour told me yesterday that the storm has damaged my fence. One or two fence posts appear to be wobbling, and the panels next to them, and may have to be replaced.
