Correct (I put them there!) but currently they're not required or urgent. Links will be added over time.

Few updates today - new map and map page, changed font throughout site and some other minor tweaks.

I'm getting that on my laptop (W8, IE10) and Tablet (Android). Screenshot from laptop

When reducing View to <100% the What's at the show layout appears rather odd

And I'm probably biased and don't know how much the Horticultural Show contributes to the event, but it only get's a mention in 'What's on at the show' under' Entertainment'
but when selecting 'Entertainment' there's only mention of punch and judy show, belly dancers, classic cars, face painting, dog show, Roman centurions and morris dancers, the only hint of a horticultural show is under downloads.

A brief description of what's in the schedule might encourage more people to enter, as the term 'horticultural' may just convey thoughts of only veg, fruit & flowers rather than 'domestic' classes and if there's children's classes they should definitely have a mention.

OK, I <think> I've sorted the slider stretchy problem, if a few could check for me please?
The slider itself isn't resizing to window but at least the images don;t look odd

OK now on Win8 iE10 (but only after a refresh)

Still stretched vertically viewed on Android tablet (even after refreshing)
    EDIT: OK after two refreshes.

That's the caching plugin. It drove me a bit mental before I figured it out. Should probably have disabled it while testing lol

Ok now on an ipad, apart from the poor chap on the right

    image.jpg

I still think the images in the header are too big and are distracting away from a key message, ie the date of the show, as well as pushing important information about "what's on" off the screen. Also the date of the show disappears for a few seconds between slide transitions, which feels a bit odd.

I agree. Header much better now but could be a little smaller. Also, it's OK for the date and info to fade off so people can see the pictures but should come back after a couple of seconds at the most. I know it's only about seven seconds before it scrolls to the next picture, and the date will come up again, but seven seconds is a long time and people will think the date has got lost.

Date and info are what you're really wanting to get across. The other very important thing is cost. If it's free entry, or very cheap, you want to shout it from the rooftops!

I find that approx. 3 seconds whilst the date's displayed inadequate to take it in together with all the other stuff being displayed. Could it be slightly transparent and stay longer, or slowly fade?

One thing I think is underplayed on the Home page is an invitation to potential stall holders to apply for a pitch. Unless of course you've already filled all your available space:ccheers:.

Oky doky, will look at timings a bit more and see if I can tweak the background to the text to opaque.
I've managed to get the titles to hyperlinks now (PHP is such a pain to use!) and will play up the invitations once I'm happy with the site. Sometime in 2017 perhaps lol
Have also decided the font is just wrong. Will probably go back to the older one for titles and simple Arial for body text.
